(F/L D. J. Cahill.) mounted court-style as worn, nearly extremely fine (8) £200-£240 --- Dillon Joseph Cahill was born at Westweath, Ontario, on 5 July 1903, and was commissioned Roman Catholic Chaplain in the Canadian Chaplain Service on 8 September 1940. He served during the Second World War in the United Kingdom, in Italy from 20 February 1943, and in North-West Europe from 22 February 1945, and was discharged on 1 October 1945. After continuing his studies at McGill University, he subsequently joined the Royal Canadian Air Force Reserve on 24 September 1953, and was released with the rank of Flight Lieutenant having reached the age limit on 15 November 1964. Sold with copied record of service.
