German Third Reich Spanish Cross with Swords in silver by Junker, Berlin A good scarce example of the breast badge awarded to combatants, mainly of the Luftwaffe Legion Condor. Reverse with flat tapered pin, hook now absent and stamped 'CEJ 900'. Minor service wear. GC Instituted 14th April 1939 by Hitler to reward those members of the Wehrmacht who served with distinction in the Spanish Civil War in support of General Franco.

German Third Reich WW2 War Order of the German Cross in silver by C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. A good scarce example. Eight pointed silver star with slightly smaller dark overlay. Mounted on the star, set on a red enamel ground, a silver laurel wreath with '1941' at the base. Within the wreath, a silvered edged black enamel swastika set on a matt silver ground. The front secured with six rivets, complete with vertical tapered pin. Enamel damage to right arm of swastika otherwise GC. Instituted by Adolf Hitler for the Wehrmacht on 29th September 1941 and designed by Professor Klien of Munich.

A good scarce silver grade die-cast 2nd Class Operational Squadron Flying Clasp for Day Fighter Pilots (awarded for 110 operational flights). Between silver oak leaf sprays, an oak wreath with swastika to base; applied winged bomb to centre. Horizontal tapered pin fitting to the reverse which bears 'R.K'. Minor service wear, slightly bent, retains most original finish. GC Instituted 30th January 1941.

German Third Reich Government Official's dagger by Alcoso, Solingen circa 1939-42. A fine rare example with simulated mother of pearl grip and silver plated mounts. Eagle's head ornamented pommel, crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika facing same way as pommel, the blade etched with maker's scales logo. Housed in its finely pebbled plated scabbard, the oakleaf bands retaining both loose suspension rings. Toned externally, blade bright. VGC Introduced in March 1939; production ceased in mid 1942.

German Third Reich TeNo Officer's dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen A good rare example with simulated amber twist grip and silver plated mounts. Circular cog wheel ornamented corroded pommel, crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and cogwheel swastika, the blade etched maker's 1935-41 squirrel logo, TENO eagle and swastika and issue number 1448. Housed in its plated pebbled scabbard, the throat with matching number, with both lined bands retaining loose suspension rings. Small dent to scabbard. GC TENO (Technische Nothilfe) was the Technical Emergency Corps. Dagger introduced in November 1938.

Crowned star mounted with a laurel sprays surmounted by a scroll inscribed 'Gibraltar' and bearing a bugle to the junction below. Pierced strap 'Per Mare Per Terram' on an enamel ground (defective). To the centre, a silver globe in relief with early gilt Continents. Two replacement loops to reverse otherwise VGC (KK 1089)

A fine quality field grey Waffenrock with red piping (waffenfarbe), dark green collar and cuffs, the latter ornamented with red backed litzen. Aluminium wire collar patches, breast eagle and red backed shoulder straps. The latter bearing gilt '96'. Medal group to breast comprising 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1914-16 Honour Cross with Swords, 18 year Long Service Cross and 4 year Long Service Medal, the latter two with silvered eagle emblems on ribbons. To the other side is a fine silver bullion aiguillette. Grey rayon lining bears tailor's label of Joh. JungbaŸr, Urfahr - Linz ... Complete with brocade belt of green/grey felt lined aluminium wire with two green lines bearing circular oakleaf wreath clasp bearing eagle and swastika to centre (patch of moth damage to lining). Left breast with ribbon bar for both NSDAP bronze and silver awards with emblems, central breast pocket pleat bears red, white and black NSDAP membership badge, top central button hole with War Merit Cross ribbon. Left arm with Ortsgruppenleiter's armband (detached but present) of light blue piped red woollen cloth with thin gold braid line top and bottom. Centrally a golden edged white disc with golden edged black rayon swastika bearing metal eagle and swastika 'star' to centre. Central simulated bullion oakleaf band edged with two thin gold braid lines top and bottom with remains of RZM paper label inside (minor moth) ... broad brown leather belt example with NSDAP gilded aluminium clasp (marked RZM M4/22). Pebble buttons and belt hooks, Left breast with ribbon bar for Iron Cross 1914 2nd Class, 1914-18 Honour Cross, another, both NSDAP bronze and silver awards with emblems and Faith Service Cross with emblem, central breast pocket pleat bears bronze DRL Sports Badge. Grey Rayon lining (AF to base of skirt). Very minor surface moth spots, generally VGC.

Victorian London Rifle Brigade Presentation Sword. A good example of a Victorian LevŽe Rifle Regiment pattern sword. The narrow blade etched with a Crowned VR cypher. and presentation script 'LONDON RIFLE BRIGADE PRESENTED TO DRILL SERGT J.G. TILT ON THE COMPLETION OF HIS 21ST YEAR SERVICE BY THE MEMBERS OF G Co. AND OTHER OLD COMRADES APRIL 1882'. The forte with the retailers details of 'Silver & Co. London'. The hilt is the regulation pattern with a Victorian crowned strung bugle device. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in black leather and silver plated mounted scabbard. Etching clear.

Early 19th Century Indian Gift Sword of Naval Interest. This sword is believed to be possibly a gilt to a European Naval Officer. The single edged 22 1/ 2 blade with damask. The hilt with a white grip and mounted with a most probably Indian silver (not tested) cross guard and langet. This with engraved decoration depicting King Neptune riding a chariot being pulled by two sea horses. This decoration is repeated to the silvered mounts of the blue velvet scabbard. GC.

Napoleonic War Period Mounted Cavalry Officer's Sword. A rare and unusual example, the curved single edged blade is a length of 31 1/2 inches. Bearing half length engraved decoration depicting Royal Coat of Arms, Britannia and cutler's details of 'Osborn, Gunby's Warranted. The hilt decorated with a silvered 'S' shape quillon one arm terminating in a chain knuckle guard, which is connected to the horse head pommel. The ebony wood grip with silver bands. Housed in original black leather a silvered mounted scabbard. The mounts supporting two fixed rings. The overall condition is good no blue & gilt decoration remains to the blade. British Military Swords by Harvey J S. Withers notes a similar example Page 111 it also states that similar example have been noted bearing Irish Silver Hallmarks to the metal work.

18th Hussars George V Officer's Mameluke Hilted Sword A superb and rare Officer's Mameluke hilted LevŽe pattern sword of regimental pattern. Curved unfullered blade with etched decoration depicting a George V Crowned cypher and device incorporating the 18th Hussars. Battle Honours the last being 'South Africa 1899-1902. Gilt cross guard bearing silver applied regimental device incorporating XVIII. Two piece plain ivorine grip with gilt floral head patteri. Housed in its original polished brass scabbard, fitted with two loose rings. Blade in fine condition, minor wear.

Polished bogwood grip carved with interlaced design, the reverse with crossed swords and Highland bonnet, ornamented with gilt studs and surmounted by a thistle pommel containing a foiled citrine. Housed in original scabbard of black patent leather with silver plated mounts. The chape of three lobed design. Come service wear and wear to plating. GC

Royal Irish Fusiliers post 1881 Officer's fur cap grenade. A very fine example. Rich gilt flaming grenade, the ball mounted with silver Eagle on a tablet inscribed '8'. Reverse with two screw posts. VGC (as KK 936) The Eagle and tablet inscribed '8' represents the Eagle on the flagstaff of the 8th French Light Infantry captured by the old 87th Fusiliers at Barossa on 5th March 1811.
