THE BEATLES / SILVER BEETLES 1960 JACARANDA CLUB MEMBERSHIP CARD. Superb and extremely rare membership card from 1960 for the Jacaranda CLub in Liverpool. The Silver Beetles (and Beatles as they changed their name to that year) performed here around 12 times during 1960 with the club being owned by their former manager Allan Williams. The card has the No. "FM10 60" written on the front with the "BOW" on rear (thought to be the initials of Allan Williams' wife Beryl). Business card size measuring 5cm x 9cm.
JACARANDA ENTERPRISES 1960 FLYER HANDBILL - BEATLES, RINGO, EDDIE COCHRAN ET AL. Historical handbill for the planned performance by Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and Rory Storm & The Hurricanes at the Liverpool Stadium on May 3rd 1960. Tragically Eddie Cochran was killed on April 17th so a revised handbill had to be printed although this was printed prior to his death. In addition to Ringo playing with Rory Storm The Silver Beetles (including John, Paul, George and Stuart Sutcliffe) are thought to have been in attendance. In excellent condition with a small horizontal crease along centre and mild yellowing to paper. Measures 12.5cm x 19cm
BEATLES / SILVER BEETLES 1960 TICKET. An extremely rare ticket for the "Old Time Modern Sequence Xmas Ball" at The Grosvenor Ballroom Wallasey on 21st December, 1960. The ticket has a reminder that states "Don't forget the Xmas Eve Gala with Derry & The Seniors, The Silver Beetles". This incredible item shows how they were still being referred to as "The Silver Beetles" and on this particular night Chas Newby played bass for them. Measures 17cm x 12cm and in very good condition with light foxing.
