Prince Albert” (the first part erased); with top safety, unusual automatic external cylinder locking mechanism, and attractively figured polished walnut grips. Good Working Order and Condition. A rare Third Reich TeNo (Technische Nothilfe) Leader’s dagger, the blade etched with the TeNo eagle and original Eickhorn logo, and numbered 0970, the hilt with oxidised silver finish, orange grip and silver bullion portepee, in its scabbard, the iron throat also numbered 0970 (slightly indistinct owing to pitting of the throat), with its original dress pattern hanging straps, with distinctive cogwheel buckles. Good Condition. Bowman describes this as “probably one of the rarest of the Third Reich production daggers”, as the numbers produced were relatively small. Plate 20

A good Sudanese Emir’s sword Kaskara, broad double edged blade 35½”, triple fullered for half its length, diamond section steel crossguard and slender langets, sheet silver covered hilt, the grip wirebound top and bottom, the centre section embossed with a stylized crossed foliate pattern, panelled turret shaped pommel with ringed and facetted stud, with a woven knot and tassels.
