A set of six George IV silver shaped circular plates by John Mewburn, London 1822, the gadrooned raised rim with leaves at intervals and scroll framed, engraved with a crest within the motto of the Order of the Bath, all beneath a baron's coronet, 24.5cm (9 1/2in) diameter, 3054g (98.2 oz) The crest for a KCB (Knight Commander the Order of the Bath) or lower officer who in 1822 was a baron. We have been unsuccessful in tracing the holder.
A pair of early George III cast silver candlesticks by John Hyatt & Charles Semore, London 1762, the sconces shaped square with shell angles, reel capitals, shell knops, on shaped square bases with shell angles, engraved with a later crest and R over M*I and Guy Hargreaves beneath, 20cm (7 3/4in) high, 855g (27.5 oz) The crest of HARGREAVES of Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
A pair of George II Irish silver footed waiters by Bartholomew Mosse, Dublin circa 1735, circular with raised moulded rims, each on a waisted foot, engraved with a crest, 13cm (5 1/8in) diameter, 288g (9.25 oz) Bartholomew Mosse was free of the Dublin Goldsmiths Company in 1734 and died in 1771. The crest for FLETCHER family of Moresby and Tallantire, Cumberland and of Scotland. In many cases the head is charged with a trefoil but this does not happen in this case. The family are related to FLETCH of Kenward, Kent.

A George III silver circular salver by Henry Chawner, London 1789, with a raised threaded rim, on four thread outlined bracket feet, engraved with a crest above a shield, 33cm (13in) diameter, 1047g (33.65 oz) These arms were granted to the DAUBENEY family of Gorwell, Dorset. On the basis of the arms being undifferenced then they should be those of the heir who was alive in 1789. George Daubeney (died 1774) had by his wife Mary Nicholls three sons surviving in 1789: Richard, Henry and Joseph. The eldest, heir and expected owner of the arms is Richard Daubeney (died 1802, age 82 years and unmarried) was rector of Ibberton and Hardington Dorset and vicar of Cerne Dorset. He had no issue.

A Victorian silver large tapered vase by John Septimus Beresford, London 1876, embossed with masks, torsos, bold flowers, scroll foliage and strapwork, the wide foot gadrooned, engraved with a presentation, an unidentified crest and a motto Sans Croix, Sans Droit, 36cm (14in) high, 1153g (37.05 oz) Engraved South of England Club. Ashdown. Produce Stake won by Cuba Peasant Boy- Honeymoon, divided. November 20th 1880. The South of England Club was for hare coursing with greyhounds. The Produce Stake was one of the more prestigious and was held for dogs and bitches. Please note the standard of this vase is Britannia and not sterling

A pair of George III silver columnar candlesticks by Tudor & Leader (Henry Tudor & Thomas Leader), Sheffield 1773, the detachable square sconces with punch beaded rims, the capitals fluted with foliage beneath, the columns embossed with husk swags flowing into twist drops, the square conical bases bead outlined and embossed with husk swags and patera, engraved with a crest, 32cm (12 1/2in) high, loaded 1773 was the first year of the Sheffield assay office operating. The crest for ALVAS, BARNEY, CATCHER, DALE, ELLIS, FALCONER, GILLIOT, HARROWER, JAMES, MALTBY, OATLY, PAUL, RANDOLL, SICKLEMORE, TIPPET, VALLANCE, WINTON, YOUL and many others.
A scarce Scottish provincial silver vase shape pounce pot or sander by Robert Keay I or II, Perth early 19th century, with a turned finial to the screw-on cap, a screw-on domed cover, engraved with scroll foliage around a vacant reserve, 10cm (4in) high, 76g (2.45 oz) Robert Keay I started using a rectangular punch in about 1812. His nephew continued to use this punch after 1839.
