A William IV silver cylindrical shaving brush, pin handle, engraved with the crest of Francis Eyre of Hassop Hall (1794-1833) the self-styled 7th Earl of Newburgh, surmounted by an earl's coronet, 16.5cm long, Archibald Douglas, London 1832 On the death of Anthony Radclyffe, 5th Earl of Newburgh (1757-1814), the earldom reverted to the descendants of Lady Ann Clifford (?-1793), the eldest daughter from the first marriage of Charlotte Radclyffe, 3rd Countess of Newburgh (c. 1694-1755) in her own right. It was assumed Lady Ann's direct descendant Vincenzo, 6th Prince of Giustiniani (1762-1826) could not assume the title being an Italian prince. Therefore Francis Eyre of Hassop (1762-1827), as the son of another Francis Eyre (1732-1804) and Lady Mary Radclyffe (?-1798), herself the daughter of the third countess by her second marriage and the sister of the James Radclyffe, 4th Earl of Newburgh (1725-1786), assumed and styled himself as the 6th Earl of Newburgh, as did his heirs until the second half of the 19th century.

Press button on the reverse of the handle. Plain polished blade which is numbered 20957. Small chip to the handle and scuff to the leather scabbard. WW2 Polish 3rd Carpathian Division Officers Service Dress Tunic, being a fine khaki four pocket Polish style tailored service dress tunic with plain green felt and black edge collar badges, two bullion rank stars to the shoulder boards, white metal Gaunt & Son tunic buttons. To the arms are woven POLAND nationality titles, one arm has a theatre made eight army formation sign and the other arm a fine quality theatre made 3rd Carpathian division formation sign. Breast pocket has a 3rd Carpathian division 800 silver metal screw back badge with the original screw nut fitting having F M LORIOLI MILANO ROMA makers mark. Medal ribbons for Virtuti Militari and Cross of Valour medals. Tunic remains with just light service wear.
Polish 41st Infantry Regiment Cigarette Case, silver plated rectangular engine turned decorated case with spring catch fitting. Front of the case is mounted with an enamel breast badge of the 41st Suwalski Infantry Regiment. Inside the case has stamped Clifton England. Accompanied by another continental silver cigarette case with 1938 dated inscription to the inside, small bracelet with Polish eagle to the centre, small plated brass cigarette lighter with mounted badges and a combination tool. Officers Heavy Cavalry Waist Belt Plate circa 1800-1820, gilt rectangular plate with fine quality silver (not hallmarked) laurel leaves, GR and Crown cypher to the centre. Reverse of the plate has clip and straight bar fitting. Four rivets on the reverse with pins holding central section of the plate. Reverse has makers mark of R JOHNSON 68 ST JAMES'S ST. Generally good condition.
Very Rare Officers Shoulder Belt Plate 32nd Cornwall Regiment circa 1832-1840, rectangular seeded gilt back plate with silver and gilt overlays comprising a multi rayed elongated silver star. The longest star points bearing six of originally eight battle honours, including 'NIVE', only granted in 1831. Upon the star in gilt metal the crown over wreath, centre of blue enamel and pierced circle 'Cornwall Regt' enclosing '32'. The reverse with standard hook and stud fasteners and original leather backing. Apart from missing battle honours (Waterloo and Vimiera) and a little damage to the enamel, the plate remains in very good overall condition.
Victorian Yorkshire Regiment The Green Howards Officers Home Service Helmet Plate, of fine quality crowned gilt star with laurel wreath and garter, to the centre black felt with Green Howards regimental device. Three part silver scroll to the lower section. Reverse of the helmet plate has three lug fittings. Plate remains in good condition.

Centre of the plate has circlet with motto Pro Patria and voided strung bugle. Reverse of the plate has three lug fittings on the reverse. Silver highlights to the plate. Good condition.
