A 19TH CENTURY WAISTCOAT PISTOL. A small percussion action pistol with a 3.5cm screw off barrel, the action with retracting trigger and sliding safety, with engraved decoration to the sides and proof marks to the barrel, the cross hatched stock with vacant oval silver tablet. 12.5cm overall.
AN OMANI SILVER MOUNTED KHANJAR AND BELT. The dagger with a 16cm curved centrally ribbed blade on a silver mounted horn handle, the scabbard with similar foliate metal mounts and bound 'silver' wire decoration, on an elaborate woven fabric belt with decorative bound wire and ring mounts. Provenance: purchased by the owner's father in Muscat when serving in the Arabian Gulf.

A FINE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY WILLIAM CHANCE AND SON. With a 15cm octagonal Damascus barrel with blued finish and two gold lines at the breech, and underslung rotating ram rod. The flintlock action with broad powder pan and roller bearing, sliding safety behind the hammer, decoratively engraved and marked 'Wm Chance and Son' to the side plate, with a 'silver' trigger guard with finely engraved decoration. The well figured walnut stock with finely cross-hatched grip. 27cm overall length.

A presentation award with a Welsh dragon with wings raised and front leg in attacking pose, on an octagonal base with a silver presentation plaque 'Presented to Lt Col A.J. Hamilton RAMC(V) From the Officers 22 Regiment Royal Artillery the Welsh Gunners' hallmarked for Sheffield 2000. 25cm wide, 20cm tall.

A group of six comprising 39-45 and Italy Stars, Defence and Victory Medals, Coronation Medal and George V Territorial Efficiency Decoration. Mounted as worn, in Spink case, with accompanying miniatures and Royal Corps of Signals silver identity bracelet engraved '52309 Stephen John Lovegrove'. An S J Lovegrove is recorded as being wounded whilst serving in Italy with the Signals on 11/10/44.

A VICTORIAN NAVAL OFFICERS COCKED HAT, EPAULETTES AND CASE. A Naval Officers cocked hat by Gievves Ltd, size 7 3/8, a pair of Gieve & Son gilt epaulettes mounted with silver star and fouled anchor, in a fitted case by Gieves with sword belt. With information suggesting originally the property of Captain C.S.Caradale. With an extract from a letter dated 1888 and an envelope, possibly related, now laminated. NOTE: The historical extract included with this lot presumably came from the seller of these items. This description is taken word for word from the catalogue entry for the medals of Vice-Admiral C.S.Caradale which were sold as lot786 by Dix Noonan Webb on 23rd June 2006. No mention of these items in mentioned in the lot. Therefore the attribution must be tentative at best.

A combination weapon, the end with elephant head terminal unscrewing to reveal an 18cn tapering four sided pointed blade, the body of the weapon a matchlock gun with 's' scroll trigger and rotating powder cover and ram rod below, the butt in the form of a sharpened axe, head with praying figure above, with traces of silver inlaid decoration. 58cm long.

A silver cigarette, the lid engraved wtih the Artillery crest 'Presented to Captain P.J.Ellwood R.A. by the Officers of 267 (Worcs and Warks) Medium Regiment RA (TA) Adjutant 1957-59. the box by Adie brothers and Co, hallmarked for Birmingham 1958, and a similar cigarette box with Royal Horse Artillery Crest engraved 'To Patrick and Annette from the Officers 4th Regiment Royal Horse Artillery 30th May 1953' hallmarked for London 1952.
