A good Victorian Militia or Volunteer Artillery Officer's blue cloth helmet and pouch belt ensemble, comprising helmet with blue cloth ground, some moth nips, plated and frosted white metal mounts, including ball finial with quatrefoil base with rose topped rivets, rose chin chain bosses, velvet backed chin chain and regimental helmet plate, the interior with leather and red silk liner and maker's trade label for A & NCSL LONDON, together with silver bullion and frosted mounted shoulder belt and pouch, moth nipping to rear of pouch, and its companion bullion mounted sword belt.
A Victorian Court Sword and belt ensemble, 80.5cm blade by J. B. JOHNSTONE, DAWSON ST, DUBLIN & LONDON, characteristic gilt hilt with D-shaped knuckle bow, down turned shell guard applied with a crowned VR cypher within a clover leaf wreath, crown-shaped pommel, silver bullion wire bound grip, contained in its engraved gilt brass mounted black leather scabbard, complete with bullion knot, bag and silver bullion trimmed belt and buckle. A Victorian Dirk by Southcombe as featured in The London Knife Book and from the Ron Flook Collection, 21.5cm fullered blade stamped with circular holes along the narrow fullers, this replicated along the back edge also, stamped SOUTHCOMBE 130 & 131 JERMYN ST, white metal mounted natural stag horn grip, the pommel cap engraved RB to CB B BRUCE, contained in its deer skin wrapped fitted wooden scabbard with silver mounts, hallmarked London 1866, the upper mount engraved with the initials WD. See Plate 154 on Page 156 of The London Knife Book by Ron Flook.
A 19th Century silver plated Scottish dirk by Hodge of Aberdeen and Inverness, 31cm fullered blade with faceted back edge and dual edged tip, stamped HODGE ABERDEEN at the mid-section of the blade and HODGE INVERNESS at the forte characteristic wooden hilt carved with a basket weave finish and set with polished studs, flattened plated pommel cap with central dome, contained in its silver plated mounted leather scabbard, complete with companion knife and fork. Scabbard leather worn.

A fine pair of brass 54-bore flintlock Queen Anne double barrelled silver mounted coaching pistols by Barbar, 4inch three-stage ring turned turn-off cannon barrels numbered 1-4, border and scroll engraved actions and frames signed BARBAR LONDON, pan cover slide mounted on the left side, sliding trigger guard safeties, silver wire inlaid swollen bag-shaped butts with large silver grotesque mask butt caps bearing Birmingham Hallmarks and Maker's mark IB, ornate silver escutcheon in the form of a stylised stand of arms. (2) 11 inches over all.
A Lord Lieutenant's bicorn hat and plume, the plush black body with black ribbon trim decorated with oak leaves, the principal insignia being a double band of silver bullion oak leaves within a silver bullion border, gold bullion tassels to either end, the interior with red silk lining and maker's label for Davies & Son 19, Hanover Street, Hanover Sq. LONDON. Some insect damage to the interior.
An English silver hilted hunting hanger circa 1730, 56cm clean fullered blade, well defined silver hilt with down turned shell guard decorated with two panels of scrolling foliage flanking a central panel with a stand of arms, the latter repeated on the knuckle bow and pommel, gadrooned and reeded ebony grip, black leather scabbard with white metal chape. Hallmarked to the top of the knuckle bow, see page 281 of London Silver Hilted Swords by Leslie Southwick for similar examples.

Johnstone Military Tailor 84, Sackville Street London & 59, Dawson Street Dublin, contained in its japanned storage tin applied with gilt brass maker's label and name plaque to Sir F. Hughes. D.L. complete with plume.
