The sword features a motif of oak leaves and accorns which run from the pommel down the back strap and are continued on the flat knuckle bow surfaces, the ferrule has an oak leaf sprig motif, the cross guard features a langet with Wehrmacht style eagle on obverse and on reverse engraved the monogram officer “U Dâ€, the grip is black celluloid over wood base, with filigree wire, blade length 94.5 cm, steel scabbard, black painted, leather belt with silver stitching and tassel. Good condition. Germany manufacture. Rare! I-II R!
