MANNER OF GEORG GELDORP (1610 - 1658) Portrait of Lady Mary Wise, (d.1657) three-quarter length, wearing a silver gauze dress, with gold embroidery,lace cuffs and collar, and ribbon tied looped chain, supporting a cornelian pendant, seated with columns beyond, oil on canvas, unframed, 50 x 40 in (126.9 x 101.6cm) The sitter was the daughter of Edward Chichester, Baron Chichester of Carrickfergus, Co. Antrim (d.1648) and Anne Copplestone of Eggesford. Devon.She married Thomas Wise M.P
A presentation, circular silver bon bon dish with scale work design and applied scroll border on a raised circular base, engraved to the centre, Sheffield 1936 by Mappin and Webb. Together with two silver nut dishes, one rectangular with floral and scroll border, the other lobed circular form, Birmingham 1923 both with London 1902/central presentation inscription. Total weight 7.44oz.
