George III-style diamond pendant drop, the cluster with a pear-shape diamond surrounded by nine old cut diamonds, suspended from eight further old cut diamonds, all in silver collet setting, 22mm CONDITION REPORT Please note, the description has been amended to George III-style rather than George III. We believe the piece to have some age but uncertain as to how old. The central pear cut stone measures 5.8mm x 4.5mm x 1.7mm deep. Four square cushion cut diamonds in the cluster measure approximately 3.5mm diameter. The remaining diamonds measure approximately 2mm - 2.5mm diameter each. The pear cut stone has an open backed setting but the rest of the stones are all in silver closed back setting. It would have had a pendant fitting secured to the back which is missing. Total gross weight 2.1 grams

Pear cut (top) - 8.5mm x 6.5mm x 3.1mm = 105 carats approximately H / I colour, I1 clarity (chip to pavilion facets on left hand edge). Pear cut (bottom) - 8.5mm x 6.8mm x 3.1mm = 1.11 carats approximately I / J colour, SI2 clarity approximately. Two old cuts to either side of the pear cut - 0.45 and 0.31 carats. Bud - old cut on left hand side - 6.5mm x 6.5mm x 4.2mm = 1.45 carats approximately. Leaf - old cut on right hand side - 6.2mm x 6mm x 2mm = 0.48 carats approximately. Leaf on left hand side - old cut - 5.8mm x 5.8mm x 2.5mm = 0.69 carats approximately. The setting / framework has inevitable repairs at the back and signs of solder. One diamond on the stem has been re-glued into the setting on the stork with associated damage / repair to this area. Total gross weight approximately 21.4 grams
