An unusually large Japanese bronze fighting cock, late 19th century, naturalistically cast with tooled feathers and with traces of silver and gilt patination, on a wooden plinth, 69cm excluding plinth CONDITION REPORT: One leg loose. AMENDED CONDITION REPORT: Section of feathers missing on leg joint of front leg. Solder lines visible on two of the claws on front foot. Small split to feathers at back of front leg. Dog has general wear, including base metal appearing through plating. Wear to pivot head on one side of spring. Duck has glass eyes. General wear including scratches and loss of lacquered finish. Boar has glass eyes and general wear.

A pair of silver goblets, by Sir Nigel Broackes, London 1980, with tripod stem on trefoil base, cased, 18.5cm high, 24 oz (2) Sir Nigel Broackes was a renowned real estate developer. As managing director of the company Trafalgar House, he owned The Ritz and the Cunard shipping fleet, and he was instrumental in the redevelopment of the Docklands area. He had a deep-set interest in the art of silversmithing, which he furthered by becoming a pupil to Gerald Benney. Shortly before his death in 1999, he was made Prime Warden to the Goldsmiths' Company. CONDITION REPORT: Some surface scratches but no obvious major fault.

A Continental silver and enamel vesta case, with London import marks for 1904, the front enamelled with a naked lady reaching up towards a blossoming tree, 5cm high CONDITION REPORT: Scratching to enamelled surface. Loss to enamel in bottom right-hand corner and top left-hand side. Small dents to reverse. Worn and tarnished.
A George III folding fruit knife and fork, with silver blades and mother-of-pearl handles, in fitted leather case, and two further Georgian silver folding fruit forks, one silver gilt (3) CONDITION REPORT: The pair do not bear makers' marks. The knife blade has been resoldered at the hinge and is worn, the fork has bent prongs. Silver gilt fork has crack to mother-of-pearl.
