There is wear to the marks, particularly the one with maker's marks only. Each is engraved with differing scratch weights. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable as a softening to the high points. The inside with pale gilding. There are some minor chips to the blue glass liners which are later.

There is some wear to the marks but each is still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some bruises overall, including to the foot which is somewhat out of shape.

A George II Silver Mug, by Thomas Whipham, London, 1752 baluster and on spreading foot, with leaf-capped scroll handle, later engraved with initials, the interior gilt 12.5cm high, 13oz 2dwt, 408grFully marked underneath. The marks are generally clear, though the date letter is only partly visible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear. There is an area of unevenness behind the engraved initials, though they look as if the might be original. The lower handle junction pushed slightly into the body. The gilding inside is later.

There is some wear to the maker's mark but otherwise the marks are legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are no signs of an erasure but the mug has possibly had earlier engraving removed. There is some tape residue around the marks.

The handle further marked with maker's mark. There is some wear to the marks but each is still legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor bruises and pin dents. The bruises are most obvious around the foot. The lower handle junction is pushed somewhat into the body of the mug.

Each handle further marked with maker's mark. There is some wear to the marks, particularly those near rim. In general each is legible. There are small splits visible inside the cup at the top handle junction on one side and the bottom handle junction on the other. The bottom handle junction with some visible solder outside.

A George III Irish Silver Coffee-Pot, Maker's Mark Overstruck, Dublin, Retailed by Carden Terry, Cork, Circa 1770 pear-shaped and on spreading foot, the body chased with foliage scrolls, flowers and fruiting grapevines, the lower body further chased on one side with a dolphin and the other with birds, each below a vacant cartouche, the hinged cover with spiral-fluted finial, with wood handle31cm high, gross weight 30oz 3dwt, 938grMarked underneath 'Ster' over 'Ling'. Further marked twice with maker's mark. One CT overstriking another and another somewhat indistinct possibly MT (?). The cover bezel with Hibernian and harp marks as well as somewhat indistinct maker's mark possibly MT (?). There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. The wear is noticeable a minor softening to the high points. The cartouche on each side has been erased. On one side this has caused a split. The handle is probably been replaced.

There are no signs of any additions of change of use to the centrepiece but it may be lacking a further section and the glass bowl is later.

A Chinese Export Silver Bowl, Artisan Workshop Mark of Hou Xiang, Retailed by Luen Wo, 42 Nanking Road, Shanghai, Late 19th/Early 20th Century tapering cylindrical and on slightly spreading collet foot, with reeded rim, chased overall with meander motifs and applied with flowering prunus trees 23cm diameter, 12cm high, 25oz 9dwt, 791gr Stamped 'Luen Wo' and 'Shanghai' as well as with Artisan Workshop mark. The marks are generally clear. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are some minor pin dents inside the bowl and a couple of slightly more obvious dings. The meandering motifs chased on the present bowl predate those that were later used in Europe and which are known generically as 'Greek Key'.
