The border intricately decorated in relief with a procession of revellers; `The Triumph of Bacchus` defined against a matted ground and incorporating an elephant, chariot drawn by a panther and horses. The urn-knopped stem embellished with face masks swagged in garlands of fruit & flowers above an ornate domed foot with animal head mounts adorning a gadrooned band, and a guilloche rim, 6¼ ins (16 cms) in height, 9 ins (23 cms) in diameter. [Reputed to have been acquired circa 1920 by a British Officer doing political work in Poland at that time].

The festooned legs surmounted by rams heads & terminating on square knop feet, one engraved with the initials PCYS, 13¼ ins (33.5 cms) in height.
A Delightful Late 18th Century Anglo-Indian Ivory Desk Box on Later Stand. The Vizagapatum sandalwood box clad in ivory veneer and engraved with bordering bands of undulating flowers and foliage. The sloped fall front resting on loper supports and enclosing a fitted interior of arcaded pigeon holes and small drawers with a base drawer below. The silver metal escutcheons embellished with engraving. The mahogany stand having square canted legs and a gadrooned top, 21 ins (54 cms) wide, 10 ins (25.5 cms) high and 10 ins (25.5 cms) deep, standing 39½ ins (100 cms) overall in height.
