Pedro II Award Medal, 1855 Breast Badge, Rio de Janeiro mint, 28 mm, Silver,Ob: PEDRO II IMPERADOR DO BRASIL; Rv: AMA AO PROXIMO COMO A TI MESMO in four lines, hand engraved dates below 25.5.1867 – 26.11.1873, all within a wreath, ribbon. Created by decree of March 14, 1855 this medal would be awarded to those that showed extraordinary services to humanity. The present specimen was awarded in 1873 per the hand-engraved dates on the reverse. I RR!
ORDER OF THE WAR BANNER Hollow-made GOLD Star, 79 mm, with plain and chiselled rays alternated by silver ones, these, set with 110 synthetic brilliants and 35 synthetic rubies, centre medallion made of patinated silver with embossed scene of marching soldiers and flags, white enameled outer circlet with motto « SOCIALISTIÈKE DOMOVINE" in gold lettering within a golden, beaded border, the reverse with broad counter medallion, struck with the "IKOM" and Yugoslav gold marks, vertical, broad pin, in the original, red case of issue of early type with elaborate, fitted compartment, the lid with golden inscription "ORDEN RATNE ZASTAVE" and Yugoslavia's coat of arms printed in gold on the inner cushion. A very rare set, extremely fine condition and nicely toned! This oneclass order is the 7th highest sign of honour of the former socialist Yugoslavia and the 1st properly military one. It was founded on 29 December 1951 and awarded to "military commanders who show personal courage, selfsacrifice, involvement in commanding and distinct role in creation, fixing and training of Armed Forces of SFRY during the war" (translated from the decree of institution). In the period 1951-1984, it was conferred 209 times only, of which 204 to Yugoslavs and the further 5 to Soviet generals (in 1964). It formally remained in the award system of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and then in the Federation of Serbia and Montenegro, being definitively abolished on 4th of December, 1989. I RR!

Breast Star, 49,5x46 mm, gilt Silver, superimposed with an oval medallion of patinated silver with the scene of saluting peasants, workers and children (as an allegory of conquered liberty) within a border of laurel, grain and a beaming, red enameled star, the reverse, struck with "IKOM" and Yugoslavian silver mark "900", "IKOM ZAGREB" and the award number "166" and the crewback suspension, the nut also inscribed "IKOM ZAGREB", in the original, blue, fitted case of issue, the lid printed in gold with the state's coat of arms and "NARODNO OSLOBO?ENJE". This order, instituted by Josip Broz "Tito" in 1943, was awarded for "outstanding contribution in organizing and directing the uprising and the creation and development of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia" (as stated in the definitive decree). It ranked as the 6th highest award of the Republic and in its existence, it was awarded 262 times only. I RR!
