A Victorian novelty silver vesta case, Louis Dee, London 1883, the cover enamelled with a cover from Punch magazine, retailed by Lewis, 20 St James's St, 5cm x 5cm/Note: The magazine depicted is No 1703, Volume the Sixty-Sixth, February 1874 CONDITION REPORT: Appearance generally good although under a loupe there are surface scratches to enamel, a few short hairlines tracking in from sides and a small fracture/chip to the bottom edge (centre). Silver generally good, some faint scratches and wear in line with age and usage.
A set of six silver gilt and coloured enamel coffee spoons, Barker Bros Ltd., Birmingham 1932, with seal terminals, cased CONDITION REPORT: Overall these look in nice condition. Under magnification (a loupe) there are some bubbles to enamel (mainly pale blue enamel one), scratches to enamel (mainly to red spoon), minor faint hairlines within enamel (yellow spoon) and a minute chip to enamel near tip of green spoon.

An Edwardian silver Christening set, Francis Higgins, London 1904/1906, comprising a trefid spoon, fork and napkin ring (Mappin & Webb) cased by Mappin brothers, a silver bangle, pusher, mustard spoon, dessert spoon, open salts etc. approximately 255gm CONDITION REPORT: The bangle has a broken hinge and is dented. One open salt has some corrosion to interior, probably caused by salt. Small losses to hardstone inlay at terminal of one teaspoon. Christening set in fair condition although the fitted box is a little tired.

A George III provincial silver toast rack, John Hampston & John Prince, York 1790, of canted rectangular form with loop handle and wirework dividers, 16.5cm long, approximately 214gm CONDITION REPORT: Basically sound, no signs of damage or repair. Marks crisp. The frame does have some bends but these should be fairly easy to remedy. The oval cartouche has a minor dent and may have had a crest erased, we are not entirely sure but it was done neatly if so.
A Worcester pedestal sauceboat, circa 1753, of moulded silver shape embossed with a leaf and scroll cartouche to each side, painted in bright colours with a bird on a flowering branch, the interior with a strutting crane , trailing flowers to rim, 19.5cm. long/Provenance: Acquired from Albert Amor Ltd. July 1989 CONDITION REPORT: No chips, cracks or restoration. The enamels in very good condition. Black specks in the glaze settle around some of the moulding on one side. Has fired leaning slightly.

A pair of George III silver candlesticks, maker indistinct, London 1784, of Neoclassical form with swagged sconces, square fluted columns and on a swagged foot, crested, 32cm high weighted CONDITION REPORT: The candlesticks are basically sound, there is wear to the raised decoration, each has a crest and a monogram to the foot. The sconces are each marked with the lion passant only. One sconce is pushed in a bit and the other is very bent out of shape. Each candlestick has a wooden base and we are unsure what is under this, perhaps a lead weight or something similar. They rattle a bit when turned upside down or shaken.
Two silver vesta cases, Chester 1900, 4cm wide and Birmingham 1900, 3.7cm wide, a silver shovel-shaped caddy spoon, Birmingham 1814, a leaf-shaped caddy spoon, Birmingham 1898, three Georgian silver teaspoons and a Georgian silver mustard spoon CONDITION REPORT: Very small dents to larger vesta. Teaspoons a little worn and bent, one has a split to bowl near join with stem.

Pressings are American Record/Allentown Pressing (VJLP 1062, rainbow labels with brackets VJ logo 'Longplaying' and 'Microgroove' in uppercase, with 'ARC' etched - Ex+ fantastic condition record with just a couple of extremely faint and wispy hairline marks/og company inner/Ex+ superb condition sleeve still in original shrink, with 'comma' on 'Please, Please Me', with original US stocker 'C Record Dept Please See Price Board') and original Monarch pressing (VJLP 1062, black labels with silver print 'VJ Vee-Jay Records' label text, uppercase 'SIDE 1/SIDE 2', 6307/6307X etched - VG+ glossy record with a few light surface scuffs/Ex lovely clean sleeve, some light ringwear, with comma on 'Please, Please Me'). Lovely copies.
