AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY E. GOYARD OF PARIS LEATHER BOUND SHOE CASE, with Goyard signature chevron canvas, some of the corners with white and red diagonal bands, leather edges, the locks stamped 'Goyard, Paris', the case with four torn luggage labels and damp damage, bears owner's initials and surname, the orange baize and cloth lined interior with six divisions in both top and bottom, closed case dimensions including handle depth 68cm x width 50.5cm x height 19cmCondition: there is extensive damage as visible in the online photographs, the damp damage is on all four sides of the outer case and there are splits to the covering around the hinge area, the leather trim is well worn and scuffed, most of the gilding on the metal work has been worn away, the locks are functioning, no keys available to fully lock the case through, the orange felt interior has patches of white mould towards the back and a silver coloured powder to some of the other compartments at the back, no moth damage spotted but the felt lining is stained/faded in patches, inner dimensions 28.5cm x 15cm
