St Andrews Golf Club New York 75th Anniversary silver and enamel commemorative bowl complete with the club’s enamel crest and engraved “St Andrews Golf Club - 1888 – 1963- Apple Tree Day made by Webster and Co USA” overall 2.75” x 7.5” – wt approx 13oz. Note: The St Andrews Golf Club is reputedly the oldest golf club in America, founded by Scottish sportsman John Reid and four others who met and played a 3 hole course. They commandeered an old Apple Tree as a ‘clubhouse’ in which hung their coats and obligatory flasks of fine scotch whisky.
