A Silver and Tortoiseshell Travelling Cased Timepiece, 1913, outer case with swag silver inlaid front cover, Birmingham hallmark, nickel plated watch case numbered 641374, lever movement, outer case 11.5cm by 14cm 01.04.19. Outer case front with one small silver pin missing to the outer edge and one to the side, tortoiseshell surfaces with scratches, silver maker's mark and hallmarks are slightly rubbed, leather sides and back with small pieces lacking and worn in parts, nickel watch case with scratches, glass with minor scratches, dial is clean, winding smoothly and handsetting correctly, movement in going order.
A Diamond Crescent Brooch, the graduated old cut diamonds in white claws, total estimated diamond weight 0.35 carat approximately, length 4.2cm. The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and hook catch and features a safety chain. It is engraved 'TO THE CHAIRMAN FROM THE BOYS'. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 4.5 grams. Two Scottish Hardstone and Citrine Set Dirk Pins, one mounted in white metal, one in yellow, respective lengths 7.7cm by 7.5cm (2) NB one carnelian unset, but present . Other than the unset stone the pins are in good condition. They both fasten with pin and hook catches. No hallmarks, nor stamps, but in our opinion they would test as silver and gold. Gross weight 18.1 grams. CR 04.04.19
