A pair of cased provincial quality 16 bore flintlock duelling pistols, c 1820, reconverted from percussion, 15” overall, rebrowned twist barrels 9½” with 2 gold lines at breeches; plain flat detented locks struck off, and having swan neck cocks, raised pans and rollers on frizzen springs; walnut half stocks with chequered butts, German silver fore end caps and escutcheon and small plain tear drop shaped butt caps; engraved steel trigger guards (one a replacement), and GS ramrod pipes with replacement horn tipped wooden ramrods. Generally GC (worn and much restored, one action AF); in their green baize lined fitted oak case with folding brass handle in the lid, containing shell embossed brass flask (slightly dented), 16 bore steel pincer mould, a wad punch and key to case.
