A trace chain split to each wing tip with an oval bale, with a brooch fitting, with a pin and covered catch, suspended on a gold plated chain. This will need to be rectified.Light surface marks commensurate with its age.

An Edwardian peridot and seed pearl pendant by Murrle Bennett & Co., designed as an open petal edged hexagon delineated by half seed pearls with six larger highlights, and holding a pendant drop with pear cut peridot with seed pearl leaves, bale with graduated seed pearls, the gold stamped '15ct' and with 'MB & Co' logo, together with an associated fine belcher link chain stamped '9ct'. length of pendant with bale 37mm, 415mm. 4.63gThe wholesale jewellery enterprise of Murrle, Bennett & Co was established by Ernst Mürrle and JB Bennett, trading between 1884 and 1916, specialising in pendants, brooches and other jewellery in Jugendstil, Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts idioms, most often set with semi-precious gemstones, set in gold or silver, appealing to the stylish, Bohemian and middle classes, rather than top end wealthy clients. Many of the pieces were manufactured in Pfortzheim, where Mürrle had strong connections, and retailed in London at Liberty. Condition ReportGenerally good condition for age. Peridot appears secure, and all pearls in place. Pendant drop and bale both free moving. A gentle wash in warm soapy water with a soft cloth would remove surface dirt. Chain supple and free running; clasp sound.
