LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB; a George V hallmarked silver twin-handled tray, inscribed 'Presented to John Asbury from The Liverpool Association Football Club in recognition of 25 years' valued service on the board as a token of esteem & regard December 1925', Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1925, length 61.5cm, approx 75.3ozt/2343g.This tray and the following six gold medals are from the personal family collection of John Asbury. He served on the board at Liverpool Football Club in the very early days of the formation of this club and was also Chairman and Vice-Chairman. This incredible collection has never been offered on the open market before and forms a unique opportunity to own some of the earliest memorabilia relating to one of the largest football clubs in the world and one of their most devoted followers and members from their inception.
