A Pair of George IV or William IV Provincial Silver Wine-Labels, by Barber, Cattle and North, York, Circa 1830, each oval and with gadrooned rim, engraved for 'Port' and 'Sherry', each with suspension chain, 5cm wide, 1oz (2) . Each is marked on the reverse with maker's mark, lion passant and duty mark. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use.

A Set of Six William IV Provincial Silver Teaspoons, by James Barber and William North, York, 1835, Old English pattern; Together With: A Similar Spoon by Barber, Cattle and North, York, 1832 and A Fiddle Pattern Table-Spoon, by James Barber and William Whitwell, York, 1821-1823 5oz 14dwt (8). The Six Teaspoons: each marked with maker's mark, lion passant. duty mark and date letter. The marks are generally clear. The surface of each is rather bright and there are some bruises and dents to the bowl as well as some wear to the edges. The Similar Spoon: marked with maker's mark, lion passant, duty mark and date letter. The surface is somewhat bright. There is some thinning and a repair to the bowl. There is the remains of an engraved initial. The Table-Spoon: marked with maker's mark, lion passant, duty mark, leopard's head and date lattter. There is some wear to the marks. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There is a bruise in the bowl.

Lot 2318

A George III Provincial Silver Apple-Corer, by James Barber and William Whitwell, York, Circa 1815, the baluster handle with reeded bands, the blade unscrews and fits inside the handle, engraved with an initial, 15.5cm long open, 9.5cm long closed, 1oz 16dwt. Marked on end of handle with and blade with maker's mark, lion passant and duty mark. There is some wear to the marks, particularly on the end of the handle, though the marks are generally still legible. There is some surface scratching and wear, consistent with age and use. There are also some bruises and small pin dents, particularly to the end of the handle. The surface is somewhat bright.

Lot 2319

A Charles II Provincial Silver Lace Back Trefid Spoon, by Thomas Mangy, York, 1683, the bowl decorated with scrolls either side of a ribbed rat tail, the front of terminal with further scroll decoration, worn, the terminal engraved with initials 'SR', 20cm long, 1oz 19dwt. Marked on back of handle with maker's mark, York town mark and date letter. There is some wear to the marks, particularly the maker's mark. There is overall wear to the spoon with the scroll decoration on the terminal very softening and the 'lace' on the bowl somewhat worn. The inside of the bowl with some gilding.
