One of four letters os missing from the makers mark as a result of pierced decoration to the handle. handle and hinges are in ok condition. Two or three dents to the beaded border

A GROUP OF THREE BOXES (3)Comprising; a circular silver plated on copper hinge lidded box, mounted with a central circular varicoloured agate, diameter 7cm, a gilt metal cartouche shaped hinge lidded box, mounted with a simulated agate panel, otherwise with floral and scroll decoration in the mid 18th century taste, length 6.6cm and a European rectangular hinge lidded snuff box, the exterior with floral and scrolled decoration, gilt within, length 8.2cmCondition Report; Circular plated on copper box; agate panel in good condition, evidence of past corrosion in the bottom section of the box, which has subsequently been plated over, wearing through to copper underneath, one or two shallow dents tot the bottom, but attractive, we would suggest of Continental manufacture, second half of the 18th century.Gilt metal box; panel to the lid appears to be in simulation of agate and may well be a replacement panel, gilding in good condition, slight wear to high points of exterior, small gap where simulated agate panel meets the corner of the mount to the left of the hinge when open. The box excluding the panel is mid 18th century.The rectangular box; has small Continental marks to the side interior edge of the lower part of the box. The exterior decoration is of varying designs to the lid, sides and base and may be Asian, suggested age circa 1830/40
