A Russian silver chatelaine clip probably late 19th century, the clip modelled as a regal Russian gentleman with billowing and feathered head-dress inset with central cabochon jade decoration and a single small emerald, his front with two small turquoise stones set as buttons, strap-form clip verso with floral and foliate decoration, impressed mark `84`, Moscow city mark and maker`s mark `MH`, above a pierced scroll work cartouche inset with oval floral engraved cabochon Citrine flanked by two oval cabochon garnets and a centralised pearl, from which hang three silver charm suspension chains, the central chain bearing symmetrical cartouche with inset floral cut domed citrine, above a seated cherub pendant and ladies hand charm, the bottom charm modelled as a ladies hand, flanked by two shorter chains comprising cherub, floral, cherubic face and ladies hand charms, 7in.
