1989 Porsche 944 S2 Coupé Registration no. G374 TYFChassis no. WP0ZZZ94ZLN4004Odometer Reading: 158,889 MoT Expiry: 29/06/21 *Comprehensive history*Cambelts changed 400 miles ago*Wheels re-furbished recentlyMore muscular looks and a bigger engine moved the 944 up a notch from the 924 and today the 944 makes a first-rate modern classic, being capable of regular use and notching up the miles. Here is a 1989 944 S2 that has had four previous owners and comes to auction with a service history the vendor says is comprehensive. The car's bodywork, silver paint and trim are all said to be very good while the recently re-furbished alloy wheels are said to be in excellent condition. Looking inside, the cloth and vinyl seats are in average condition but show little sign of damage or neglect: the door cards and dashboard are in vendor-assessed good condition and the headlining is reported to be in average order. Our vendor says the engine is very good for starting and running and presents well. Gearbox and clutch are said to be good, the remainder of the running gear reported to be very good, as are the electrics. 1965 Alvis TE21 SaloonRegistration no. HBF 969CChassis no. 27240Odometer Reading: 64,000 MoT Expiry: Exempt *Ready for use and offering improvement potential*Engine reported to be good*Owned by the vendor since 1991 The 1960s saw Alvis and Bristol go head-to-head in a market that quite different from that occupied by Bentley and Rolls-Royce. Alvis and Bristol offered two-door saloons with a refined, rarefied air for those who did not seek attention. Offered here is a 1965 TE21 which, until a few years ago, was used daily for work and pleasure. Ready for immediate use with potential for improvement. Its bodywork is described as good (there is some filler, the vendor notes) while the metallic silver paint is said to be average. The trim and wheels/tyres are in good condition, the vendor says. The interior, with grey seats and blue carpets, is said to be very good, with the dashboard and headlining in a similar order. The heater valve is disconnected. Our vendor says engine starting, running and presentation is good, but there is a slight oil leak. The running gear is vendor-assessed as good and with the benefits of power-assisted steering and disc brakes is said to be a pleasure to drive. 1922 Rolls-Royce 20HP TourerRegistration no. OK 9475Chassis no. 68H4Odometer: tbc MoT: n/a Restored in early 1990s at a cost of £70,000 Charlesworth coachworkBills from specialists including P&A Wood Was in Harrah Collection for 25 yearsThe Rolls-Royce 20hp was launched in 1922 and its introduction (and acceptance of the growing need for owner-driver cars) effectively doubled the Royce offering, which up until then had offered just the 40/50hp Silver Ghost. As with the bigger model the 20hp was bodied by many coachbuilders including Coventry-based Charlesworth, who was responsible for this tourer. Our vendor says that despite the restoration being carried out nearly three decades ago the bodywork, paint, glass, trim and wheels/tyres still present in excellent order. The interior, in its entirety, also presents in excellent order they say. Engine starting and running, as well as presentation, is said to be excellent and the running gear (and the electrics) is also described as being excellent throughout. This 20hp comes with an excellent history file our vendor says.
