Antique Persian unmarked silver Koran or betel nut boxA Persian antique silver box for holding either a miniature Koran or prayer, alternatively betel nut. The box is octagonal in shape, chased and engraved with stylised Arabic script with scrolled heart shape hanging loops to the sides so that the box can be attached to a belt.Height 1.5 cms x Width 5cm. Weight 29.grms (0.932oz) Condition: All hinges are loose and slightly misshapen. The lid does not fit totally flush.
