Most Burmese Buddha statues are seen with hair curls (small round bumps), with a slightly raised rounded usnisha. The raised urna on the centre of the forehead is referred to as the “Eye of Wisdom”.This Buddha is seen here seated on a double lotus pedestal, the face shows a calm serene, with the full lips upturned at the corners, eyes are cast downwards, hand gesture in bhumisparsa mudra,dressed in a simple monks robe, typical of the Pagan style Buddha statue. This statue was once fully gilded.Cast in 2 parts.The Pagan kingdom was at its height between 11th and 13th Century. Pagan art and Buddha statues similar to this can be seen in the alcoves of the Ananda temple in Bagan (Pagan), located South West of Mandalay in central Myanmar.

He is wearing an almost translucid robe with embroidered brim covering his left chest and shoulder, pleats fanning out underneath his ankles. His figure is slender while his head is very round with elongated earlobes. His eyes are closed in deep meditative pose with a gentle smile.
Bronze with gold and silver India , 17th century Dimensions: Height 24 cm by 14 cm Weight: 1759,2 grams The goddess of war is here depicted wide-legged standing on a square tapering platform with an open-work gate in the back. She is destroying Mahishasura with a spear, identifiable by the buffalo's head in the front right corner. She is standing on a mystical lion with one foot, her mount. Durga has ten arms fanning out around her body holding various weapons. She is dressed in a long dress with various patterns, her chest bears a necklace and her hair is done up in a high chignon behind a tiara. In spite of some rub-off on her face, her eyes, nose and lips are still recognizable. The gate surrounding her is topped by various small birds and elephant heads on the side, a diamond finial is in the center. In spite of this fierce battle she is smiling calmly and gazing into the distance. The back of the statue is created with the same detail. Bronze with silver and copper inlaysTibet , 15th centuryDimensions: Height 22 cm by 15 cm Weight: 889,1 gramsHe is one of the five meditation Buddhas and here represented seated cross-legged on a double reverse lotus base with beaded rims. The hand gesture is distinctive for Ratnasambhava Buddha, the right hand showing the varada mudra, a gesture of generosity and patience. The other hand is resting in his lap with the palm facing to the sky. His eyes are downcast and the lips almost grinning. His body is dressed in a long dhoti with decorative brim, a billowing scarf surrounds him. Beautiful jewellery with stone inlay adorns his body and a five-pointed tiara encloses his chignon. The back of the statue is simple with less details.
Bronze with silver inlaid Indonesia or India , 8th to 10th century Dimensions: Height 10 cm by 4 cm Weight: 133,1 grams A Buddha attached to a plinth, partly missing from the ankles, the left hand, some fingers of the right hand and one earlobe. The simple robe with silver beaded rim is draped over the right shoulder. His right hand is raised with palms facing the front and thumb touching index finger. The other arm is also raised, possibly he was forming the dispensing of boons gesture with this hand. Facial details are lost due to rub off but the faint smile is still visible. Tiny curls cover the ushnisha.

The other hand is resting on the knee with the palm facing up. The lower body is dressed in a long cloth fastened around the waist. Another flower is growing on the left side of Tara. The body is decorated with necklaces and bracelets, a tiara encloses the three-tiered chignon with flaming jewel finial. The expression is friendly with downcast eyes and a slight smile.

Buddha is sitting in a decorative alcove with two small stupas on the arch, the center topped by one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism, the Protection Parasol. The Bronze is hollow and flat at the back.

Late 19th/Early 20th Century Mother-of-Pearl Fan, painted with a scene of a shepherdess seated amongst her flock, with Cupid beside her, plain to the verso, 28.5cm long; a Carved and Painted Bone Fan, with a printed and handcoloured paper leaf, depicting figures in 18th century dress to both sides, sticks and guards are pierced and inlaid with silver and gold decoration, 27cm (2) . Mother of Pearl fan - appears in good order, little bit of wear and rubbing to the folds, no tears. Bone Fan - one guard is chipped, some splits and cracks, the other is similar and the painted decoration has rubbed to both, some staining and wear to the bone sticks and guards, paper patched repairs to the leaf, and the paper is torn in a couple of places, and sticks detached from leaf in a couple of places, the edges of the folds are worn and some very small splits at the top of each fold, overall wear
A 19th Century Gentleman's Pale Blue Silk Suit, in the 18th century style comprising a jacket with large turn-back cuffs and lace trims, grape and vine woven silver trim to the openings and pockets, steel style buttons, cream cotton lining, and a pair of matching breeches with shaped back, button fastening, trim and buckle to the bottom of the leg, buttons impressed 'S Zarb & Co Malta'; Gentleman's Similar Pink Silk Waistcoat with silver trim to the edges and pockets, cotton lining and back, '..in haggard' written in pencil (3) . Jacket and Breeches - coat is worn, especially to one shoulder, and the front panels on each side of the jacket, some light staining, the lace trims are worn and very stained, some loose threads. The breeches- look as if they've haven't been worn but they are there is some fading and staining. Waistcoat - has got some fading and staining,
Circa 1920sPale Pink Crepe Sleeveless Flapper Dress, with scooped neckline, appliquéd with silver/clear and purple beads in diamond shapes with alternate diamonds of long bead drops; a 1930 Floral Sleeveless Dress, with stylised pockets to the front, cut out detail to the back (2). Staining to both sleeve holes, some lighter staining to the back of the neck, couple of marks overall, bead losses. 1930s dress - Slight wear and staining around the armholes, slight wear overall.
