Provenance: purchased lot 55, March 1958 from the Abney Hall Contents Auction, Cheadle. CONDITION REPORT: Lacking the glass bowls, one slight area of loss to the mercury on the mirrored platter of approx 1 x 1cm, otherwise overall in good order.

CONDITION REPORT: From a private collection. Minor scratches commensurate with age. Otherwise no significant damage. Doesn't appear to have been anything erased - the surface is smooth and no other picture is coming through. Thick and heavy with no repairs. Wear commensurate with age.
A large Victorian hallmarked silver twin handled oval tray with cast foliate scroll and scallop decorated rim, Atkin Bros, Sheffield 1895, retailed by Penlington & Batty Silversmiths Liverpool & Manchester, 67.5 x 47cm (including handles), approx 99ozt. CONDITION REPORT: Several scratches to the top of the tray and some areas of minor pitting and traces of use, also some slightly deeper scratches to the base and some further areas of pitting.
