A Moorcroft Wisteria pattern preserve pot, with silver plated mount, cobalt blue ground, impressed "Moorcroft M162, Made in England". Height excluding handle 3 ins, diameter 3.5 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This piece has no damage, repair or restoration. It is however significantly crazed which is visible on the underside of the piece and around the lighter colours in the main body. The silver plating is in generally good order and not significantly rubbed.
Three pieces of Scottish hardstone jewellery, comprising brooch and two bracelets (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The brooch is in good condition with some very minor scuffs to the agate. The less brightly coloured bracelet is in generally good order although one of the agate sections has been reglued into the silver mount and the glue is visible. This would easily clean off. The brighter of the two bracelets is in generally very good condition. The five bar bracelet length is 17.5 cm including the clasp. The other bracelet length is 19.5 cm with the clasp closed. The brooch width is 64 mm, the pin and clasp appear to be original as does the safety chain.
A Georgian silver snuffbox, probably London 1779, makers mark "TW". Length 74 mm. CONDITION REPORT: All hallmarks are clear and legible. The top opens correctly and the hinge is in good order. The right hand side has dents around the front right hand corner and around the side to the back. The seam of the piece is visible here also but does not appear to be open. Other than this the piece is in good order.
A William IV vinaigrette, with silver gilt interior, Birmingham 1833. Length 34 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The makers initials are JC. The vinaigrette is in very good condition. There are no splits or breaks. Both hinges are in good condition. The hallmarks are clear. The piece is a little dirty to the base and there are one or two very small minor dints to the body and what looks to be a very old repair to the right hand side of the hinge mount of the grill. This is a good repair and not problematic.
A Victorian silver vinaigrette, Birmingham 1860, shaped outline. Width 40 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The hallmarks are fully legible. The M on the makers initials "FM" is slightly rubbed as is the rear end of the lions passant. The hallmarks to the interior of the base are legible but very dirty. The makers initials are again slightly rubbed. The condition is generally very good, both hinges are in good order and there is no significant damage the piece.
An Edwardian silver cream jug, in the George III style, helmet shaped, London 1904, 185 grams. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good order with no restoration or engraving. Hallmarks clear. The item has clearly been dropped and the narrow part of the base is buckled and twisted. The silver is reasonably heavy gauge around this point however a silversmith would need to repair this buckle.
A George III silver sweetmeat basket, pierced, London 1767, maker "WP" probably William Plummer, 114 grams. Length 6.25 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good order. There are however some very small holes which have rubbed through on the points of the flag pattern in the bottom of the piece. There are five in total, other than this there are no visible problems.
A William IV silver tea service, comprising teapot, sugar basin and milk jug, the teapot London 1836, the sugar basin and jug London 1835 same maker Pierce & Burroughs, 1421 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The teapot is in generally good condition. The finial is tight, the hinge in good order as is the spout. There are a number of small dints around the body of the piece but none of which are too significant. The sugar basin is in generally good order. The milk jug has again several dints around the proud part of the main body of the piece. Like the teapot these are visible but not too problematic.
A pair of Adie Brothers silver sauce boats, Birmingham 1931, 210 grams. Length 6.25 ins. CONDITION REPORT: These are not in particularly good condition. The silver is fairly thin gauge and has stress fractures at the shallow points of the card cut rim on both sauce boats. The hallmarks are clear but these are really only scrap value in our opinion. There are no engravings or crests.
