A Set of Six George IV Silver Tablespoons, Richard Crossley, London 1783, Old English pattern, each engraved with crest of a talbot sejant supporting an escutcheon, 21.5cm long; and A Set of Twelve George IV Silver Dessert Spoons, Richard Crossley, London 1784, en suite with the above, no duty mark, 17cm long, 25ozt all in (18) The crest is probably that of Sir Thomas Metcalfe, 4th Baronet (1795-1853) who was for over 40 years in the service of the East India Company. The only difference is that Metcalf's escutcheon in the crest being charged with a hand issuing from clouds in. The presence of a 'Grant mark' next to the hallmark adds credence to this. Good clear marks, overall good, engraving crisp

Corners bumped and some a little bruised, detail of Abbey is very clear with lots of detail still remaining.

A Rare Quadruple Cased Silver Tortoiseshell Verge Pocket Watch made for the Turkish market, signed Edward Prior, London, No.77126, 1866/1867, gilt fusee movement, enamel dial with Turkish Arabic numerals, beetle and poker hands, plain silver inner case with London hallmark for 1867, the second outer case with London hallmark for 1866, tortoiseshell and silver third case decorated with pique silver pins to the borders, leather shell shaped fourth case with velvet lining, 72mm wide 29.01.15, Both silver cases with surface scratches, inner case with a London hallmerk for 1867, second outer case with a London hallmark for 1866, tortoiseshell case with small chips in parts and some pique pins missing, some minor cracks and surface scratches, fourth case with small splits to the leather and rubbing to the ribbed top surface, dial with a faint hairline crack, movement is complete and in going order.

It fastens with a pin and hook catch. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'CH', Chester, 1908. The pendant is hallmarked with rubbed marks, but appears to have maker's mark 'J&BG', Chester, 1910. The pendant with chain bears no marks on the pendant and '925' on the (later)chain. It is enamelled to the reverse, which is in poor condition - with losses, and there is a drop missing from the base. Gross weight 14.4 grams. CR made 7th February 2015

A Late 19th Century Diamond Cluster Brooch, an old cut diamond within a border of eight smaller old cuts, to an outer frame of scroll design, set with old cut and rose cut diamonds, with old cut diamond accents, total estimated diamond weight 3.00 carat approximately, measures 3cm by 2.7cm The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. It also has a hook and a hinged loop to the reverse. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The central diamond measures; 6.31mm x 6.04mm x 4.22mm = 1.12ct. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 9.4 grams. CR made 11th February 2015

A Butterfly Brooch, probably French, circa 1900, the butterfly enamelled in blue, white and yellow, and set with rose cut and old cut diamonds, in white collet settings, measures 3cm by 2.3cm NB one diamond deficient The butterfly is in good condition other than the missing diamond. The enamel is a little worn in places, but not significantly. The body is a little out of shape. It fastens with a pin and hook catch. It bears no hallmark, the hook has a stamp which looks like the eagle's head mark, signifying French gold, and another unclear mark. It seems to have silver settings - possibly a silver gilt body? The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.40, colour J/K/L, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 5.6 grams. CR made 11th February 2015

A Fox Pin, the fox mask set with cabochon ruby eyes, and old cut and rose cut diamonds pavé set throughout, length 5.8cm Purchased from Leighton, of Burlington Arcade on 10th January 1962, by Guy Wayte, infamous owner of Tatler, and eccentric uncle of the vendor, accompanied by purchase receipt The pin is in good condition. It is circa 1900. It bears no hallmark, but in our opinion would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.20, colour J/K/L, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. There are two rubies missing and a possible replacement or two. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp and features a figure-of-eight safety catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 1.20, colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. A Late 19th Century Diamond Necklace, of typical scroll and spray form, three graduated drops alternate with simpler drops, on a necklace of alternating diamond shaped links and round links, set throughout with old cut diamonds, in white claw and collet settings, total estimated diamond weight 11.00 carat approximately, length 41cm, longest drop section 4.3cm The necklace is in good condition. It has fittings to the reverse which show it would once have had alternative use as a tiara, but the tiara frame is not present. It fastens with either end of the 'chain' section hooking on to either end of the 'drop' section. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 40.4 grams. CR made 1st August 2014

A Mourning Brooch/Pendant, circa 1800, an oval locket containing a lock of hair, within a border of rose cut diamonds, surmounted by a bow motif and suspended from a pendant loop, also set with diamonds, in closed back settings, total estimated diamond weight 3.00 carat approximately, measures 2.5cm by 4.5cm This is in good condition in keeping with the age. There scuffs and marks, none serious. It is possible that the pin is a later replacement, and the loop does not look entirely original - perhaps some previous repair?? It fastens with a pin and hook catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 10.0 grams. CR made 7th January 2015

An Arts & Crafts Peridot and Amethyst Necklace, possibly of suffragette significance, the scroll finish necklace with fringe drops, gemstones in white collet settings, length 43cm, drop length 8cm Suffragette jewellery is believed to have been manufactured to signify support for the cause through the use of relevant colours - green, white and violet, to stand for 'Give Women Votes' - although this phrase was coined later, the original being 'Votes for Women' The necklace is in good condition. A Ruby and Diamond Cluster Ring, a cabochon ruby in a yellow collet setting within a border of rose cut diamonds in white collet settings, to a carved floral decorated shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.00 carat approximately, finger size O Accompanied by an identification report from Anchorcert, stating the ruby to weigh 3.92ct, that no evidence of treatment was observed, the origin opinion being Burma The ring is in good condition. The shank is quite worn, particularly at the base. The mount looks 19th century. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as gold and silver. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 11.8 grams. CR made 26th January 2015
