A George V silver spirit kettle on stand by Brook & Son. With ebonized hardwood handle and knop and raised on scroll fret supports. Assayed Sheffield 1925, 1544 grams. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. No splits, holes or repair. Stand one letter earlier in assay but same maker and fits well. The stand does not have ebonized handles and is much more traditional in style, a possible marriage. Weight quoted does not include the burner.
A pair of Edwardian silver novelty salt and pepper shakers by John Collard Vickery. Modelled in the form of owls and with glass inset eyes and threaded bases. An early 19th century Continental silver gilt wine ewer. With acanthus moulded double scrolling handle, engraved and applied with further scrollwork, having a central green enamel band and adorned with jade and pearl jewels further ornamented with enamelled foliate scrolls. Two punch marks under the foot, 23.25cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some misshaping to the spout. One pearl stud lacking. Chip to the central enamel band later coloured and with two further cracks. Other areas of loss to the enamelled scrolls.
