A Minaudière, by Van Cleef & Arpels, for Asprey, the oblong case set with rose cut diamonds to the clasp, and initials `PF` set with diamonds, containing a lipstick holder, a lighter set with rose cut diamonds, and a case set with rose cut diamonds, with various other compartments contained, the comb and the compact both missing, contained in a black carrying case, measures 15.2cm by 11.8cm Styptor, an alloy of silver and pewter, was used in the late 1930`s and 1940`s.The inspiration for the Minaudière, one of Van Cleef and Arpels` notable contributions to the history of jewellery design, allegedly came from a meeting between Frances Gould and Charles Arpels. Gould, having left the house in a hurry, put her make-up etc into a metal Lucky Strike cigarette case - the Minaudière was born! (Minaudière - from the verb to simper) This is in reasonable condition. There are missing components as mentioned. The black carrying case is quite worn. It is stamped `LA MINAUDIERE DE VANCLEEF & ARPELS`, `SPECIALLY MADE FOR ASPREY`, and in several place it is stamped `STYPTOR` and `METAL`. It is numbered `42911`. The black carrying case has an internal label marked `ASPREY LONDON`. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 3.00, colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 826.6 grams. A Victorian Diamond, Pearl, and Enamelled Pendant, an eight pointed star set with old cut and rose cut diamonds, with blue and white enamelled decoration and split pearls set points to the outer edge, with a locket back, measures 5.2cm by 6.6cm, in a (damaged) fitted case The pendant is in good condition. The locket opens to reveal hair, and the inner case is inscribed with initials `CJH` and `1850`. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, in our opinion it may be silver gilt. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; caratweight 0.50, colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 22.8 grams. CR made 25th September 2014

A Ruby and Diamond Crescent Brooch, circa 1880, the inner curve set with graduated mixed cut rubies, in yellow claw settings, the outer curve with graduated old cut and rose cut diamonds, in white shaped settings, total estimated diamond weight 0.70 carat approximately, measures 3.4cm by 3.6cm The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and hook catch and features a safety chain. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour K/L/M, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 8.8 grams. CR made 22nd September 2014

A Pair of Sapphire and Diamond Drop Earrings, circa 1860, two chain linked old cut diamonds suspend a pear shaped cluster of a pear cut sapphire within a border of old cut diamonds, in white claw settings, total estimated diamond weight 1.00 carat approximately, with post fittings for pierced ears, drop length 2.8cm The earrings are in good condition. The post fittings are probably later. They bear no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion they would test as silver. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. It bears no hallmark, nor stamp. It is both white and yellow coloured, and in our opinion it would test as silver, with a gold plated inner shank. A Turquoise and Diamond Pendant on Chain, the pendant circa 1900, comprises a polished heart shaped turquoise in a yellow collet setting, within a border of old cut diamonds in white claw settings, hung from a single diamond set loop, on a 9 carat gold box link chain, total estimated diamond weight 2.00 carat approximately, pendant measures 2.3cm by 3.3cm, chain length 46cm The necklace is in good condition. There are some spare links to the chain. The pendant bears no hallmark, nor stamps, in our opinion it would test as gold and silver. The chain fastens with a bolt ring catch. It is hallmarked with sponsor`s mark `CRF`, London (import), 1972. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 10.6 grams. A Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1900, a fancy yellow old cut diamond within a border of white old cut diamonds, in white claw settings, on a closed back, to a yellow plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, finger size I1/2 Accompanied by a coloured diamond report from Anchorcert, stating the centre stone to be 0.93 carat and a natural diamond of natural fancy yellow colour. The ring is in good condition. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. The clarity of the centre stone is assessed as SI2. Gross weight 5.0 grams. CR made 16th September 2014

It fastens with a pin and push barrel catch. It bears no hallmark, but in our opinion it would test as silver settings on a gold mount. It has a stamp which appears to be `A`. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Some of the diamonds have nibbled girdle edges. Gross weight 7.6 grams. CR made 10th September 2014

In our opinion they are in the antique style. They bear no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion they would test as silver and gold. A Late 19th Century Diamond Necklace, of typical scroll and spray form, three graduated drops alternate with simpler drops, on a necklace of alternating diamond shaped links and round links, set throughout with old cut diamonds, in white claw and collet settings, total estimated diamond weight 11.00 carat approximately, length 41cm, longest drop section 4.3cm The necklace is in good condition. It has fittings to the reverse which show it would once have had alternative use as a tiara, but the tiara frame is not present. It fastens with either end of the `chain` section hooking on to either end of the `drop` section. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 40.4 grams. CR made 1st August 2014

A Pair of Multi-Gemstone Earrings, the drops comprising a coral, to a turquoise and seed pearl cluster, and a ruby and diamond spray, a lapis lazuli bead suspended from the base, with French-clip fittings for pierced ears, drop length 4.2cm The earrings are in good condition. It seems they have been made up from several components. They bear no hallmark, but in our opinion they would test as silver and gold. Gross weight 6.0 grams. CR made 1st August 2014

A Diamond Crescent Brooch, circa 1880, an inner row of old cut diamonds in channel settings, the outer row of old cut diamonds in tulip shaped settings, total estimated diamond weight 4.00 carat approximately, measures 4.6cm by 4.5cm, in a box by Edward & Sons Ltd, Buchanan St, Glasgow, the lid of the box with panel inscribed `Musidora 29/4/49` Provenance: Musidora was a race horse that won both The 1000 Guineas and The Oaks in 1949. The Musidora Stakes race, held at York, was named after it. Musidora was trained by the Yorkshire trainer Captain Charles Elsey, and this brooch was given to his wife Eileen by the owner of the horse, Norman Donaldson (a Scottish shipping magnate) in that successful year. The brooch is in good condition. It fastens with a pin and visor catch. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour J/K/L, clarity SI2/I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 13.0 grams. CR made 14th August 2014

A Gemstone Ring, five rings linked together, set with rose cut diamonds, sapphires, garnets, pearls and demantoid garnets, in claw and collet settings, finger size M The ring is in fair condition. It is quite worn. The green stones are very scuffed. Tests were not diagnostic but appeared to indicate that they are demantoid garnets. It bears no hallmark nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver and gold. Gross weight 5.8 grams. CR made 22nd September 2014.

A Two Row Cultured Pearl Necklace, the graduated cultured pearls knotted to an Arts & Crafts catch, in suffragette colours, an oval cut amethyst centrally and a step cut emerald to each side, in white claw and collet settings, in a foliate mount, length (of shortest strand) 44cm The necklace is in good condition. It has links for a third row to be attached. It fastens with a tongue and box clasp. It bears no hallmark, nor stamps, but in our opinion it would test as silver. The pearls graduate from 5mm to 9mm. A 19th Century Colonial Silver Pepperette, Hamilton & Co, Calcutta, the cylindrical body raised on a circular spreading foot, the body engraved Pepper, with a removable pierced cover with gadrooned rim, 9cm high, 3oz 2dwt Marks: H&C Elephant A `possibly another worn device but not an urn` Mark Clarity: 7-8/10 Overall good condition, the engraving is weak however but still legible. A 19th Century Indian Colonial Silver Covered Beaker, George Gordon & Company, Madras circa 1830, the plain tapering body with lift off domed cover with central knop and hoop finial, both initialled B, 13cm high, 7oz 6dwt (2) Clear marks. Cover does not fit unless pressure is applied and then it will `pop` off after a short time. Cover not marked, silver mostly in good condition but showing many surface marks and small bruises, one small repair(?) between base and side of beaker.

A Japanese Silver Bowl, bears Jungin mark, Meiji period, circular, with a profuse chased decoration of irises emerging from water, on a plain collar foot inscribed Juliet 19th June 1989, 26cm wide, 41oz 6dwt Marks to base Numerous sharp bruises and marks to the inside of the bowl. The bowl is double walled so these marks do not appear on the outside of the bowl. The exterior of the bowl has several small holes where the silver has thinned on the corners of the chased work. Some soldered repairs. Large bruise to base (not footrim). A slightly tired example of what would of been a very nice bowl.

A George V Silver Gilt Fruit Service, Frank Cobb & Co Ltd, Sheffield 1933/34, comprising six plates each formed from an abalone shell with three silver ball feet, together with six fruit knives and forks with mother of pearl handles and silver gilt blades, the shells approximately 25cm wide, in a plus and silk lined fitted case, with key (19) Two knives 1934 and the shell feet 1934, the rest 1933, all appear in good order, some minor rubbing to gilding. Overall good condition.

A George V Silver Tea Service, Mappin and Webb, Sheffield 1933/34, comprising hot water pot, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, each octagonal with angular handles, 51oz 9dwt (4) Each piece is engraved with the arms and motto of Felsted School, Essex. Hot water pot 1933, others 1934, good crisp engraving. Teapot also with presentation inscription to George Clark by the Masters of Felsted School on his retirement. Overall good condition. Together with a book ``Felsted Foundation Deeds``

A George V Scottish Silver Cup and Cover, James Mark, Glasgow 1929, circular, the front chased with a group of cattle and with a cow head, fronds and flower border to the girdle and angular handles with Celtic decoration, the pull-off cover chased with ferns and a squat knop, 16cm high, 12oz 3dwt Clear marks, good overall condition but rim of cover slightly misshapen

An Art Deco Silver Cocktail Shaker, Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1928, the tapering body with fluted and reeded borders, scroll handle, flared pouring spout with silver mounted cork stopper and silver mounted cork cover, inscribed Alexander Moir Reid/July 12th/1879-1929, 31cm high, 29oz 8dwt all in Clear and matching marks. Finial of cover with a few bruises. Corks dried and do not make a good seal anymore. Light surface scratches but good overall condition.

A George V Silver Four Piece Tea Service, Russells Ltd, Sheffield 1917, comprising hot water jug, teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug, each with an applied and shaped rim, domed covers and raised on four scroll capped feet, initialled L, the hot water jug 22cm high, 63oz 6dwt all in (4) Hot water jug with small bruise, otherwise good order.

A George V Silver Biscuit Barrel, Asprey & Co Ltd, London 1914, circular with reeded borders, two scroll drop-ring handles and raised on four bracket feet, the hinged cover with a scroll thumbpiece, 10cm high, 20oz 2dwt, in original fitted case Marks clear. Silver in good condition, no signs of erased inscriptions, overall good condition. Case with typical marks and scuffs and silk interior is worn in places. Lid of case with very old paper label applied.

Outline of mark also clear. One vacant cartouche has had an inscription removed, Several dents to the fluting and bruises to underside of base
