There are no signs of restoration, inspection under a UV light reveals nothing.

Col. T.W. Pragnell', mounted together with a WWII Defence Medal and War Medal, contained in a Spink & Son Ltd box, a George V Garrard & Co cased C.B.E. enamel medal, two George V Officer's Cavalry dress swords, each with wire-bound fish skin grip and curved metal guard, by Rogers & Co, one blade numbered 16331, both in leather scabbards. Together with and items of Colonel Pragnell's full dress uniform including a tunic with gold braid, trousers, a hat in metal hot box, two pairs of boots, one with shoe trees, an Edward VII silver-mounted officer's cross belt pouch, Birmingham 901 by J & Co, on a silver mounted gilt belt, another similar silver-mounted belt, ivory mounted boot pullers, swagger sticks, leather belts and pouches, spurs, and gold braid, and a set of 7 miniature dress medals. All contained in a tin trunk with an engraved brass plate 'T W Pragnell 4th Hussars', and a copy of a photo of Colonel Pragnell.
