A cased set of early 20th c1920s century gilt sterling silver and enamel cup tokens / markers. Each in the form of a different flower, decorated with coloured enamel. Each marked differently to the back, some stamped MC, others Sterling and some Sterling Silver. Housed in their original Amnora retailers lined presentation case with Patent No. 14232. Such tokens / clips were designed to be placed on a tea or coffee cup at a dinner party so that when cups were collected for a re-fill each person knew their own cup by the token they had placed upon it.

Measures: 10cm high (with handle ) x 7cm wide x 3.5cm deep. Condition: good condition, no visual damage. Appear to be in working condition, wind, tick but stops after few seconds.

Silver tea pot and stand gross weight 28.4 ozt including handles. Both engraved with the Arms of the De Beamorels an old Jersey family. JC stamped to underside of both pieces (assumed to be the maker not recorded) no other hallmarks. Illustrated in "Old Channel Island Silver" 1st edition 1969 by Richard H Mayne. Plate 10 and page 83 "Found in Jersey" The oval stand 20.5 cm L (Condition bright silver, generally marked and scratched and small dents, old cracks to handles. PROVENANCE The vendor inherited this silver teapot and stand together with other silver from his late father who was a collector of Jersey silver. His maternal grandmother was (Joan Collas), an eminent Channel Island family tracing back to the C14th. Family members were decorated for their services to the channel Isles, published local books and the donation to the Channel Islands of their carriage collection. Originally of St Martins House Jersey, Laterly the family lived and farmed at LE Pettit Mourier, St John where they still hold the Cotil. Also see lot 86 and 87
