Private William Robbins enlisted into the Grenadier Guards in March 1900 and landed in France with the Regiment on the 12th November 1914. He was discharged in August 1916 with the award of the silver war badge and died as a result of service on the 16th January 1919. He is listed as serving with the 1st Bn.

M.M.G.S.-R.A, George V Jubilee Medal, George V Regular Army Long Service Good Conduct Medal (1930-36). (these two medals Named 7868393 W.O. Cl II R. Tank C.), French Medaille d’Honneur. The group is mounted for display, please note that WO. Spicer is entitled to the silver French Medaille d’Honneur and not gilt as mounted with the group Warrant Officer M.D Spicer enlisted into the Royal Garrison Artillery before being attached to the Motor Machine Gun Service and transfer to the Tank Corps with the service number 200045, this confirmed on the medal index card. He landed in France after the 1st January 1916 and is confirmed as being awarded the French Medaille d’Honneur silver London Gazette 11th July 1919. Remaining with the Tank Corps he saw service during the interwar years with the LSGC Medal being awarded in 1934 and a year later whilst serving with the 9th Light Tank Company in India was awarded the GVR Jubilee Medal.

The silver medal is engraved to the obverse Col Brown of the L.G.F. presents this medal. Reverse to Maj Dolmage for his merit 1780. Retaining original red silk ribbon. Housed in a Victorian leather and velvet case, this with tilt tooled details to the lid MEDAL OF MERIT TO ADAM JOHN GREAT GRANDFATHER OF ANTHONY A DEMEGE ESQ. The Rathkeale militia unit known as the Loyal German Fusiliers was one of ten Regiments raised in 1778 in County Limerick commanded by the then Captain Adam John Dolmage who was born in Limerick in 1744. He is recorded as died in Albany New York in 1801. Provenance: Through Delmege family descent.

9th Queens Own Lancers Officer Lance Cap circa 1905-14. A good scarce example. The skull of black patent leather with the upper portion of black Melton cloth with gilt metal trips down the angles; black leather top. To the left side is a metal simulated bullion rosette with central regimental button. This supports a gilt plume holder which holds the black over white stitched swans feather drooping plume (metal stem cap fixing restored). The gilt lance cap plate is mounted with gilt Royal Arms, title scroll and silver AR cypher, revered and intwined. Gilt metal bound patent leather peak. German Third Reich WW2 cased War Order of the German Cross in gold by C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. A fine and scarce eight pointed silver star with slightly smaller dark overlay. Mounted on the star, set on a red enamel ground, a gilt laurel wreath with 1941] at the base. Within the wreath, a silvered edged black enamel swastika set on a matt silver ground. The front secured with four open rivets, complete with hinged vertical tapered flat pin, the underside of which is stamped 20, and securing hook. Minor service wear otherwise VGC. Housed in original back leatherette case, the fitted interior with simulated black velvet and cream silk, the sided of the lid with gilt line. GC Instituted by Adolf Hitler for the Wehrmacht on 29th September 1941 and designed by Professor Klien of Munich.Provenance. Found in the effects of 1805815 AC2 George Henri Wood who served from 6.5.1942 in the RAF then transferred to the Royal Signals in May 945 until demobbed in September 1947.

Good example, circa 1937-45, with spiral amber ivorine grip and twist wire binding, the plain blade bearing makers squirel logo. The aluminium crossguard and langet bearing a flying eagle and swastika; the pommel ornamented with gilt swastika and oakleaves. Housed in its stippled silvered metal scabbard fitted with two suspension rings and foliate lockets. Complete with aluminium wire knot and silver laced, velvet-backed slings with oakleaf ornamented rectangular buckles and spring-clips (one clip AF). Minor service wear. Generally VGC Introduced in July 1937.

Hinged vertical tapered pin and securing hook. Slight service wear otherwise VGC. Instituted 30th April 1941 at the direction of Grand Admiral Raeder.
