A good Chinese spinach green jade rectangular snuff bottle, 18th/19th century, the sides carved in relief with a pair of lion mask ring handles, on a rectangular foot, the stone with emerald green and grey toning, with a jadeite mounted silver stopper and spoon, total height 6.8cmCONDITION: Natural inclusions to the stone, minute nicks to the edge of the rim and the foot, othwerise in good condition.
A Tibetan silver and gold inlaid copper alloy figure of Amitayus/Amitabha, c.15th century, seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rim, holding the kalasa, wearing jewellery and headdress, with silver and gold inlay to the garments on his legs, the forehead with a central raised urna, crowned with a foliate tiara, 20.5cm highCONDITION: There are typical small indentations and marks. There is a dent ot the bridge of the nose. There is some wear to the gold and silver inlay on the legs and the silver is mostly tarnished. There are remnants of gilding to the tiara. The base panel is lacking. The whole figure has been given a clear lacquer finish. In good condition with no repairs detected. ex Dennis Ward collection.cf. a Tibetan copper alloy seated figure of Tara, dated to the 13th–15th century, in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Accession Number: 1987.142.357 which also has gold and silver inlaid decoration. The form of Amitayus is also comparable to the central figure in a trinity also in the Metropolitan Museum, Accession no. 1979.507.1. dated to 15th century Tibet.

A 19th century, probably American, painted wood carousel horse, upon display stand, the horse with raised forelegs and looking slightly to the right with glass inset eyes and original painted decoration, L.3ft 5in. H.3ft 7in. Overall H. when on stand 5ft 9in.CONDITION: Looks to have the original silver painted finish which has numerous areas of flaking and wear, in addition the timbers of the horses are separating at some of the joints showing as gaps and splits notably at the chest and legs but also scattered throughout the piece, the back left lower leg is missing and a section from the back right leg also missing, stand is brown metal veneered and with oxidisation and scuffing throughout and one end of the veneer and other parts coming away from the base.

One of the rubies has a couple of small chips to the crown facets. A few minor surface nicks to the top and base of the emerald.
A rare William De Morgan lustre bowl, c.1890, decorated by A. Farini, Fulham period, the exterior painted with Persian style flowers in copper and other lustres, on a cobalt blue ground, on three leaf and paw moulded feet, the interior with a copper and silver lustre eight pointed star, the base inscribed 'F' within a star and 'In Fabbrica W. De Morgan & Co, Londra', 21.5cm diameterCONDITION: Splinter chip to the outer edge of the rim with associated hairline crack. Two further short hairline cracks to the interior in line with two of the feet. Other minor glaze imperfections.Literature -A. Farini worked for De Morgan in Fulham 1890-91 and introduced him to sgraffito decoration. He also decorated wares for De Morgan which were then fired at the Cantagalli factory in Italy, where De Morgan spent several years and from where he also sent designs home to England to be executed. cf. a plate with sgraffito decoration with the same maker's mark in Italian but dated 1890 in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, accession no. CIRC.338-1965.
