A George IV Chinoiserie Silver Teapot, Joseph Angell, London 1824, circular on domed pedestal foot, chased and engraved with Oriental figures in garden settings within scrolling foliage, with ivory handle and eagle head spout, the cover with figural finial, 26.5cm long, 30oz 2dwt . Clear marks to underside of base, cover and finial part marked. Some sideways play in the hinge and a horizontal line running across the back of the hinge where the cover has rubbed. The ivory handle with some age cracks. A couple of vertical solder lines visible on the scroll rim , possibly part of construction. The decoration is of good quality and the pot is of a good gauge. Aspects of the detail in the decoration have worn through cleaning, mainly to the high points of foliage, faces etc.

An Extensive Service of Silver Sandringham Pattern Flatware, Viners Ltd, Sheffield 1932/33 (two teaspoons 1957), 18 place settings, comprising: table forks; table knives (with steel blades); soup spoons; dessert forks (one lacking); dessert spoons; dessert knives (with steel blades); fish forks; fish knives; fruit knives (with steel blades) fruit forks (with steel tines); and teaspoons (plus one extra); 6 table/serving spoons; 4 sauce ladles; a pair of fish servers; 2 carving knives; 2 carving forks; and one steel, all housed in a good quality burr walnut freestanding canteen with hinged top and two pull out drawers, on cabriole supports with hoof feet, the canteen 78cm wide, weighable silver 242oz 18dwt (215). No crests or initials to the service. General signs of use throughout, some pieces with rubbing to marks, particularly on the knife handles. The dessert knives; table knives; fruit knives and forks; and carving pieces, as per description all have steel blades/tines and hollow silver handles. The canteen is well fitted and in fairly good condition, a few marks to the top and some scuffing to legs and edges, interior with some fading and scuffing in places, mainly to the upper tier.

With Glasgow marks and Victorian Duty mark but no maker's punch, ''stamped Hall & Co King St Manchester'' between the hallmarks. Some light wear to marks, covers are part marked. Some age cracks showing in the ivory. Generally good order.

Lot 133

A German Silver Mounted Carved Ivory Tankard, the foot struck with pseudo marks, probably Hanau, late 19th century, also struck with French weevil duty marks, in the 17th century style, the mounts chased with fruit, foliage and masks, the hinged cover with a young Bacchus finial, the ivory body carved in high relief with a Bacchanalian scene featuring satyrs, nymphs and putti in a woodland setting, 26cm high . Foot rim is loose and can be detachaed from the ivory body. Hinge with some sideways movement as per construction. Some general wear to the high points of the decoration adn chasing. A hand of one satyr has been broken off and the arm of the finial has been re-stuck, otherwise the ivory appears generally in good order, with the occasional small nick. Some ingrained dirt to both details of ivory and mounts.

Miniature appears in good overall condition. Some spotting which appears to be on the glass. Lock of hair has moved within rear frame.

A Georgian Amethyst, Rose Cut Diamond and Pearl Pendant, a round cut foil backed amethyst within a heavy circular pierced frame set throughout with rose cut diamonds, with a diamond and pearl pendant drop and conforming bail, the reverse with chased decoration, measures 8.3cm by 4cm see illustration Provenance: From Pepper Arden Hall, Northallerton . The pendant is in good condition, the bail to the reverse is later applied. The rose cut diamonds are foil backed, giving a grey silver colouration. It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as gold. The amethyst measures 25mm in diameter approximately. The pearl measures 10mm x 8.4mm x 6.4mm approximately. Gross weight 41.7 grams. Condition Report made 22nd May 2018.

An Early 20th Century Onyx, Diamond and Pearl Novelty Bird Brooch, modelled as four swallows, with carved onyx wings, rose cut diamond bodies and ruby set eyes, perched to knife edge bars terminating in groups of pearls, measures 2.5cm by 4.5cm see illustration . The brooch is in good condition, there is one very small rose cut diamond deficient to the head of one of the outer birds. It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as silver on gold. It fastens with a pin and revolver catch. Gross weight 10.8 grams. Condition Report made 22nd May 2018.

The brooch is in good condition. It is not hallmarked or stamped, valued as silver on gold. It fastens with a pin and c-hook which is removable by a screw fitting. An Indian White Metal Three PIece Tea Service, late 19th century, spherical form, decorated with panels of deities and with elephant handles and spout; and An Indian White Metal Coffee Pot, late 19th century, oval on pedestal foot, decorated with bands of tigers and elephants in jungle landscapes, elephant handle and spout, the coffee pot 22cm high, 59oz 16dwt (4) . All pieces unmarked but in our opinion would test as silver. The cover to the teapot is detached at hinge and would need re-soldering. Decoration appears mostly crisp. One insulator lacking from the coffee pot handle. The foot of the coffee pot is misshapen slightly and as such wobbles when sat on a flat surface.
