Late 19th / early 20th century Arts & Crafts mantel clock with French movement and lever escapement, white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, signed 'Penlington & Batty, Liverpool', in a silver plated case with domed top, hand-beaten finish and Art Deco-style floral decoration, on eight square-section legs with paw feet, 33cm across (key present) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition quite good. It is a lever escapement movement and it appears to be working. However we have not had it running for any length of time and cannot guarantee its operation. Dial is undamaged. Case is plated over copper and has been cleaned in places. Plating is also worn but very dirty, the rear of the case has some damage to the right hand side and copper is showing.
