Field Marshal Günther von Kluge (30 October 1882 - 19 August 1944) comes from a family of the Prussian military aristocracy. He served as a junior officer in the First World War and continued his brilliant military career in the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. He is evident in the first victorious campaigns in Poland and the West in command of the Fourth Army. The brave general often shared frontline actions with his soldiers. His tough temper often put him in sharp contrast to generals under his command such as Guderian and Rommel. Some remarks and criticisms against Hitler and National Socialism convinced Hitler to replace him by calling him back to headquarters, but von Kluge, who was involved in the plot against Hitler in 1944, preferred to take his own life.Seen the good quality and execution, this is probably a second baton ordered by von Kluge from the company 'H. J. Wilm' in Berlin. The original is located in the Deutschen Panzermuseum in Münster / Germany. length 50 cm.
