ENGLAND CAP 1960-61 Framed Blue England Cap 1960-61 for all three Home Internationals v Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The vendors son was a Vice-President of Chelsea and attended many charity dinners. He bought this cap at a Dinner which he attended and gave it to his father saying that the Cap was awarded to Johnny Haynes of Fulham. Haynes played in all 3 England Internationals that season against the other Home International countries and was captain against Scotland , scoring two goals in the 9-3 victory. England scored five goals against Ireland and 5 more against Wales, scoring 19 goals in the three games. Haynes made 56 appearances for England, captained the side 22 times and scored 18 goals. Haynes made 594 appearances for Fulham and passed away in 2005. The cap has the silver tassel and the peak is embroidered "v Ireland - Wales - Scotland 1960-61 ". The FA Three Lions badge is on the centre panel just above the peak. The cap is blue (very slightly faded) with silver border. Excellently framed in a presentation case. Generally good

A .925 silver cigarette box, 14.3cm x 9.7cm. Condition Report: Hinge good. Dent to right hand bottom edge - slightly mishapen. Several small nicks to edge of lid. Surface scratching. Wooden interior stained. Leather base material rubbed and dirty. Small dent top right corner of front.
