A Victorian silver novelty vesta case in the form of a horse's lower leg, the hoof is ornately engraved and inscribed 'First Favorite', makers marks for David & Lionel Spiers, Birmingham 1883. Condition report: Spring to lid strong. Hallmarks inside lid are clear, lozenge mark is readable. Small dent to horse shoe. Generally in good condition.
A silver sugar sifter by Henry Williamson Ltd with floral decoration and blue glass liner, Birmingham 1906. Condition report: Height 5.5cm. Impossible to move liner, weight 328.5g. The silver is thin so not a great deal of weight. Some dents to the base of sifter. Hallmarks are well rubbed on outside of lid.. Reg number readable. Dent to very top of sifter and some damage to one piece. Also some distortion to main body of sifter.
