A late Victorian large Mappin & Webb silver and glass wine carafe, the hinged lid and collar, splays or ribbons, foliage and fruit above a pierced band of scrolling decor, the glass body with further splays of ribbons and flowers, the base with a silver band of palmettes, the top, the lid and the base hallmarked London, 1898, maker Mappin & Webb, the base also signed Mappin & Webb, H.31.5cm Condition report: No chips or cracks to the glass, no splits, breaks, losses or visible repair to the silver.
