An attractive Chinese white metal (tests low grade silver, approx. .800 standard) lady's filigree evening bag, apparently unmarked, circa 1920/30, applied on either side with a stylised chrysanthemum with Chinese characters for Longevity and Good Fortune, the mount chased with dragons and with pendant filigree heart motifs, 16.5 cm. wide, gross wt. 318 gm. In good condition. A couple of small oval links are missing from the top of the bag but could be easily replaced.

A good Russian silver-gilt and polychrome cloisonne enamel vesta case by Pavel Ovchinnikov, "88" standard, Moscow, 1880, rectangular but of oval section, decorated with floral medallions between bands of intersecting scrolls on pale blue ground, enamelled hinged cover to one end with aperture for pull-through cord, other end forms the striking plate, 5.6 cm. long. Good condition, enamel is undamaged. Fully marked inside base, part marked inside cover.
