It should also be remembered that it was thanks to the discovery of the Rosetta Stone in 1799 and the studies carried out for 19 years by Jean-Francois Champollion, that we can know the meaning of these writings.The fountain pen has a cap, nozzle and barrel in solid 925 sterling silver.On the cap, the crown has a conical or tapered finish, followed by a gold-plated ring that leads to the clip, which is also plated in the same way; on the surface of the cap we can see the engravings of 14 cartouches representing the names of 14 pharaohs; a gold-plated end ring is engraved around it with "SAILOR", "JAPAN", "THE PHARAOHS" and the drawing of a hieroglyphic.On the body is a cone-shaped false butt separated from the body by a gold-plated ring; Between it and the one near the mouthpiece we find a series of hieroglyphs that correspond to those found on a limestone stele in the tomb of the pharaoh Inyotef, praising the pharaoh, his reign and achievements, and asking the gods Khentamentiu and Wepwawet, both depicted in the form of jackals, guardians of the dead and tombs, who oversee the journey to the afterlife, for protection of his body; The number of the piece is also shown near the butt of the pen, and the nib, made by master craftsman Nobuyoshi Nagahara and called Naginata Togi, is made of 21K gold, and the nib is black with a gold-plated ring., In addition to the ornamental drawing we can see engraved "1911", the drawing of an anchor, anagram of the brand, "21K", "875" and "SAILOR"; the loading system is through the use of cartridges and / or converter.
