Stands well when placed on a flat surface. The exterior would benefit from a clean and bears commensurate light wear and tarnishing. The interior remains very bright. Small chip to the rim of the inkwell. Scratching can be seen to the removable liner. Hallmarks legible. More tarnishing visible to the underside. Stamped 'Garrards, Panton Street, London'. Overall appearance is good.

The waiter stands flat and shows no other obvious signs of damage. The foliate engravings to the piece appear to be 19th century additions.
