A TERRITORIAL FORCE EFFICIENCY MEDAL TO SJT CANNELL RE. A George V Territorial Efficiency medal named to 510282 Sjt T Cannell RE. Thomas Cannell was issued with British War & Victory Medals on his MIC details. He was also serving in the Wiltshire Regt as 748 and again in the RE number (T) 4201. He also received a Silver Wound Badge under List RE / 4628 In the Territorial Force under number 5212, he was an acting Company Sergeant Major and at one time was hospitalised in 1917 with Influenza. A note with the medals suggests he may have been serving in the Wessex Division RE, before being draughted into the 58th Divisional Signals Company.

Originally from Hull his Medal Address was 4 Eastleigh Cottages, Newbigin (?) Hornsea. E Yorks in 1921 With the trio are his original identity disc H Dixon 10 E Yorks CE. Also a visiting carda .
A R ENGINEERS TO R GARRISON ARTILLERY OFFICERS TRIO. A 1914/15 Star named to 698 Spr H Smith. British War & Victory Medals named to 2/Lt C H Smith.. Clarence Herbert Smith was a sapper in the Balkans theatre from 5/5/1915, before promotion to Acting Quartermaster Sergeant in the East Lancashire RE. Then in September 1916 he was commissioned into the Royal Garrison Artillery. MIC details lists him as Acting Captain. A note on his MIC states entitled to a Silver Wound Badge, 16/9/1918. Also that he enlisted as H Smith, later C H Smith on both relevant cards.

A serving Brother medal in silver, also a scm Royal Masonic Hospital modernisation medal, also a gilt Masonic tie clasp, etc. A Masonic apron with Oxfordshire centre, sash and gloves with rosettes etc. All in a brown leather case with no initials present, though all was the property of No 3619 Bro A W Bailey.

The second with RAOB centre and horn shaped mounts. Both awards are to hallmarked and dated 1931 or 1932 respectively. The boxes have J Simpson & Co of Regent Street London inside the lid. Also researched Nazi Youth during the same decade. A Grand Uncle was hung for his part in the 1798 Rebellion. His father was Accountant General in the Irish Supreme Court. A NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS 1914 STAR/BAR TRIO. A 1914 Star with bar, British War & Victory Medals named to 2559 Cpl on the first medal, Acting Sergt on the latter two J T Dowson 1/North'D Fus. Serving in France from the 13th August 1914, he was treated for Dysentery in October 1914. He was awarded a Silver Wound Badge under List LC/4815 whilst serving with the Chinese Labour Corps.
A SCOTS GUARDS 1914 STAR/BAR TRIO. A 1914 Star with bar also British War & Victory Medals named to 8052 Pte G Killen S. Gds. George Killeen served in the Scots Guards enlisting on the 2nd October 1910, then in France from the 13th August 1914. He was discharged on the 6th August 1915 due to wounds received in France. Awarded a Silver Wound Badge Number 59191 Gazette Page SG15. With copied MIC details and a Cap Badge.
A R WARKS 1914 STAR/BAR TRIO & SWB. A 1914 Star with bar also British War & Victory Medals named to 1964 Pte Z Sambrook R. Wark.R. Zealer Sambrook served with his regiment in France from the 22nd of August 1914. Wounded and discharged with a Silver Wound Badge under Paragraph 392 Wounds. He enlisted in January 1912 and was invalided out on the 1st June 1916, from wounds received during overseas service. A SWB with enamel decoration and R Warks Cap Badge are with the trio, also copied details.

Silver plated mounts with Victorian crown and underslung bugle, with silver bullion sword knot. Very clean 33" blade with foilage decoration and the following inscription. Presented to Colonel A H Courtenay Commandant 3rd & 4th Battalions Scottish Rifles by his brother officers on the occasion of his Silver Wedding and 28 Years Service in the Regiment. 13th January 1900. The son of Thomas Lefroy Courtenay and Mary Ellen Mildmay Fullerton, educated privately and at Trinity College Dublin. A BLUE & GILT GERMAN PRESENTATION CAVALRY SWORD. A high quality Imperial German period sword with makers mark for W K C. 35.3/4" damascus pattern steel pipeback blade, with over half the length covered in scrolls and inset words. Roughly translated From K Von Onirndorf to S Lt L Schnitzer 1894/95 Hessesche Lt Dragoon Regt 24. The back and reverse side of the blade decorated with Eisenhauer Damast-Stahl. Folding outer guard with a crowned Lion holding a Sword , with a silver/red bullion swordknot. A steel scabbard with twin hanging loops, composite shaped grip. See Illustration.

An original identity disc Ralph E Evans CE 2nd Engr HMY Diane 6th Flotilla 10th Unit.
FRAMED RAOB MEDALS. The first a silver and enamel with jewel eyes Midlands County Banner on the bars. Buffalo head centre with Handsworth Queens Lodge, Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes. The reverse inscribed, The Order of Merit was presented to Primo Wm Bate Oliver K O M, by the Brothers of No 2 Handsworth Lodge. In estimation of his services in the cause of Buffaloism and as a token of regard for him as a man. Sept 22nd 1898. Secondly Propoganda - Jewel bars on a red & white ribbon with Buffalo head centre. Inscribed on the reverse, Presented by the Royal Manor Lodge, Primo W A H SCrivens, for past valuable services Mar 14 1892. Thirdly a RAOB Jewel with 1st Dec: 9th May- G E B- 2nd Dec: 25th Aug 1924, bars. Jewel eyes centre with RAOB motto in the blue enamel scroll. Inscribed on the reverse, This Order of Merit and Honour of Knighthood was conferred upon Bro Sir A H R Parr, by The Claremont Lodge. As a mark of appreciation for his services in the cause of Buffaloism, and their regard for him as a man and brother, March 26th 1928 . All three hallmarked.
A QUEEN ANNE 1704 MEDALLION. A silver issue Queen Anne's Bounty medallion of some 44mm diameter. The obverse shows Queen Anne facing left with the legend ANNA.D:G.MAG. BRI. ET. HIB.REX. The reverse depicts Q Anne presenting a charter to the clergy kneeling at her feet. PIETAS AVGVSTA EX PRIMTIIS. ET. DECIMUS. ECCLESIA. CONCESSIS. MDCC1V below. The initials IC are in the Queens shoulder. C Eimer number 404 See Illustration.
ROMAN COINAGE etc. A Silver Antoninianus of the Emperor Gordianus, with Concordia seated reverse. Another of Phillippvs with standing figure reverse. Another of Postumvs with a standing figure with spear and globe reverse. (26) Various base metal coins, of several Emperors.
A BOLO KNIFE WITH SILVER MOUNTS. A Bolo bladed knife with carved wooden mounts, decorated with silver panels and bands. The 10.5/8" bolo or machete style blade, has a three-quarter narrow fuller on each side. a carved Hardwood hilt with carving to the scabbard throat of swirl patterns.
A GENTLEMANS SWORDSTICK. With a Stags Horn hilt and silver band bearing Birmingham Mint marks. Button releasing the blade from its cane scabbard, revealing a quality blade with three-quarter fullers. Marked with Defence and not Defiance in one scroll, Peace with honour on the other side also Howell London on the ornate blade.
TWO ROMAN SILVER COINS. An Antoninianus of Gordian 111, with IMP GORDIANVS PIUS FEL AVG obverse. Providentia standing reverse PROVID AVG. A Denarius of the Emperor Vespasian with IMP CAESER VESPASIAN AVG obverse and Annona seated on a throne holding corn ears reverse. (2)
A ROYAL NAVY ARTILLERY VOLUNTEER OFFICERS SWORD. An unusual sword by Silver & Co of London, with Naval mounts and a Scottish Broadsword blade of 31.1/2" length. The etched blade with twin three-quarter length fullers, bears the Victorian Crown over Anchor with RNAV entwined. The blade has very light rusting in parts in a few places, the scabbard is present though requires refurbishment. The hilt is in the Naval style with the same device in the cartouche, as on the blade also with RNAV present. The RNAV were formed in 1873 and disbanded in 1892, amid much outcry and public condemnation.

A 1922 dated Peace Dollar, also 1837 and 1856 Half Dollars, etc. Canadian Dollars include 1958 'Totem' Dollars x 3. Canoe and Flying Goose reverses, etc. 1844/1891/1935/1937 Crown pieces. An 1828 Maundy 2d piece, Halfcrowns/Florins/Shillings/Sixpence & Threepence pieces, in Silver or Part Silver issues. Many further coins including loose threepences in tubes etc.
TWO GT WAR LINE REGIMENT PAIRS. British War & Victory Medals named to 1. G51786 Pte J Weeks. Middx. R. (John) Weeks enlisted in the Middlesex Regt (5th Battn) and was Discharged and awarded a Silver War Badge, under List E/1731?1 Para 392/(XV1) KRS. (22/5/1919 2. 204150 Pte W C Abbott. Ox & Bucks L I. (William). Also served in the ASC under number S/460460.

A 1784 dated Ecu of Louis XV1, with scratches to the head, Flamingo? below bust, 28.9 grams, A on the reverse. A 1784 dated Ecu with heavy scratch marks evident around the legend on both faces, 29 grams with horizontal mace below bust, Q below shield reverse. A Louis XV1 Ecu dated 1786 with horizontal mace below bust, scratches evident to obverse and reverse, 29.3 grams, with Bull below the shield reverse. A Ecu of Louis XV1 dated 1790 with a branch below bust. Heavy scratches to the bust and L below the shield. 29.2 grams.
A QUEEN ANNE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY J WILLETS OF WEDNESBURY. A turn-off barrel Queen Anne Pistol with TB and two other proof marks, below the action. The round 6.1/2" barrel turns easily, the action is in order with both half and full cock working. The butt has silver wire inlay and escutcheon plate, also a Devils Mask butt plate. The flags and arms are above the triggerguard with the steel action etc, being engraved in places. Jno Willetts had shops in London and Birmingham between 1744-1789. Maker of Flintlock Holster Pistols and fine Sporting Guns etc. See Illustration
