There a splits to some of the knife handles.

ELKINGTON & CO; an Edward VII hallmarked silver Armada jug, heavily decorated in relief and with repoussé decoration depicting flying cherubs and a central Egyptian pharaoh, bears inscription 'Ladies Challenge Plate presented to the Second Volunteer Battalion The Manchester Regiment 1906', London 1906, approx 41.6ozt.Additional InformationThere is a very heavy dent to the left of the inscripted cartouche, two further heavy dents to the right hand side pushing in one of the Egyptian mask mounts and floral decoration, further dents throughout, the action of the lid works but not smoothly and the lid itself is slightly misshapen, surface tarnishing and scratches throughout, the silver is thinned over both inscriptions, the hallmark is clear.

There are scratches throughout, surface nicks, dirt and some residual polish. Some of the scratches are fairly deep and there are some surface indentations, some visible to the reverse rim.

There is a layer of surface dirt and tarnish to the interior, some heavy scratches and nicks to the front foot, marks slightly rubbed, rim slightly dented and misshapen in places, there is a small split to the rim approx 1cm long near the handle, further minor indentations, scratches, nicks and pitting throughout.
