Lot 118

A silver table, of shaped rectangular form, the top embossed a lady in a swing and gentleman resting, having a drawer, on four cabriole legs, William Comyns, London 1901, 18 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by MW The table has a structure of wood with the silver moulded over it. Looking from above, the scroll decoration has several small areas of damage to the points. The table stands square on all four legs and does not rock. There would appear to be no solder repairs or splits in the silver. The silver drawer front is attached to the drawer carcass, by six screws, one of which is a later replacement. The drawer does not fit very well into the table carcass. The embossed decoration on the table top is worn and there is not so much definition as there should be i.e. the spaces are worn.

Lot 119

A Victorian silver goblet, with embossed floral decoration, Robert Hennell, London 1858, approx. 8.060 ozt, 27 cm high Condition report Report by MW The goblet doesn't sit square, it rocks as the base is slightly out of alignment. Some of the decoration has become less crisp and is worn due to polishing. The hallmarks are clear and well struck. There are a couple of very small, shallow dents just below the rim collar. No major damage but there is a split approximately 1 cm in length which is visible both inside and outside underneath the rim, which goes from below the last collar ring until it reaches the embossed decoration. The cartouche is vacant and doesn't feel thin when being pressed.
