A GEORGE III SILVER WINE FUNNELWith a detachable straining top having a reeded rim, initial D engraved, London 1805, height 15cm, weight 116 gmsCondition Report; The detachable top; there is no side lip, silver is very thin in places, particularly to the right of the hallmark, bottom lip is not as deep as usual, there looks to be lead solder within this lip when viewed from either side. The piercing is rather random and crude, the holes are of differing sizes and are not symmetrical. The bottom section has some shallow denting, hall marks are a little weak, particularly the maker, lip at the bottom is in good condition, dent between two of the upright ridges towards the bottom, initial D is later. Visible solder join to the top section running from top to bottom, in general a poor example

The push-in top is rigidly firm, we do not guarantee the filling mechanism. When you screw the top on, the thread will not grip. Box not original to the pen.
